Re: An interesting application of Longstrike's hull shape and terrain.

They were play testers. They sat with GW and played their game. What more proof do you need? You're being obtuse. Yeah yeah they were playtesters, everything they do is right, they can't be wrong yaddayaddayadda. Too bad that even GW employees (like Rob etc. on Twitch) said themselves that they wen...

Re: Cyclic Ion Blaster, Overheat & Wound Allocation

The model itself suffers a wound. Note that you don't suffer multiple wounds for multiple 1's on the hit. So if I hav ea CiB and I overcharge it and get 2 1's, I only ever get one mortal wound. Still important to make sure you know who shot what when it comes to these kind of things because who got ...

Re: Skyshield Landing Pad in 8th

Unaligned means that any faction may take this fortification. In comparison the Tidewall Shieldline has the T'au faction keyword. You need to be T'au to have it in your list. The keywords are often just there to tell you what it is because there are other units that interact with those keywords. You...

Re: XV8 Flamer Discussion

The important thing to consider with flamers is that you can go full speed and not receive any penalty to shooting. Suits move 8in and can advance D6. The flamer automatically hits so there is no roll to hit required. The -1 to hit for advancing and shooting assault weapons is ignored. That's pretty...

Re: An interesting application of Longstrike's hull shape and terrain.

Referencing another rulebook by translating it doesn't translate (heh) into a very good rules argument. Mainly because you're dealing with an "imperfect rule", right? It's a rule that we are in question over. How can we take that same rule, but written in another language, and then use it ...

Re: An interesting application of Longstrike's hull shape and terrain.

Hm... i also still disagree with the "within" part. For me the Tank touching the building is not within the terrain feature. Here is my interpretation based on a side view instead on top, to make a bit more clear. https://abload.de/img/terrain8thc6sgi.jpg If you have to get within 1in of ...

Re: An interesting application of Longstrike's hull shape and terrain.

Yeah, source on that -other than "frontline gaming does it on stream"- would be appreciated, I haven't found it written in the rules yet either??? Because they played with the developers of the game? Did you guys know that they play tested for the last couple of months with GW? But look a...

Re: Wound Overflow with Savior Protocols

So I was messing around doing some skirmishes against myself and ran into a question. I have a Pathfinder team with 2 markerlights and 3 rail rifles. The 2 Shield Drones that came with them are within 3. They get hit by a Fire Prism using a Dispersed shot and Shuriken Cannon and they take 5 hits, a...

Re: An interesting application of Longstrike's hull shape and terrain.

You are considered to be in or on terrain if you are touching the building with your vehicle. So in OP's picture, he is in cover. The HH is 50% obscure, and he is touching the rock (in or on terrain). But yea, in this edition if you are shooting a vehicle you only need to be able to have a tread, f...

Re: Stimulant injector + sense of stone?

Interesting. Stimulant Injector talking specifically about "suffers a wound" while Sense of Stone talking specifically about "suffers an unsaved wound" It is semantics. It is all in reference to the same thing. You failed your first save, now you must do a FnP roll. There has ne...
