I think that once my Cadre is fully-painted, my reward will be a Stormsurge with missile arms. Might grab the cockpit cover as well. :)

Yeah, the Facebook FAQ clarified that it's within half the full range, not that particular range band, so within 7.5" - 8" rounded - you get +1 shot. Makes for a face-melting 3 S6 AP3 shots each at 5", but you have to balance that with the risk of attaching an Ethereal to such a suici...

Forgot that Disembarking =/= Movement, and that you get the extra 2". Either way it just reinforces my point that they have plenty of reach. :)

My opponents haven't managed to adapt to mine, yet. If they try and pound the Devilfish with Anti-Tank, they're just letting the Riptides move up with impunity.

In a multi-threat scenario, they're easy to overlook until they hit. It's keeping them alive to get back in the 'Fish that can be tough. :P

I think people really underestimate how many things can be woefully torn-apart by a bucket full of S6 AP3 attacks. Light vehicles, rear armour, monstrous creatures, MEQ squads, there's little that they're not good against.

6" Devilfish move + 6" Disembark + 5" range.

If you can't make it work with a 17" threat range, you can't make anything work. :)

You can get very fine Milliput, and the stuff is great at gap filling like nothing else I've tried. :)

I run a squad with Darkstrider and Outflank them. They rarely struggle to find a target to assassinate once they come out, and can really worry my opponent in the long run, especially if I'm applying pressure to them. Also I'd personally take a Disruption Pod over Sensor Spines + Point Defense, as K...

I need to make a note to get a pair of the Missile Arms when it comes to getting myself a Stormsurge. Just doesn't look right without them.

Also Wyvern has 48" range, AFPs are 18". AFP is AP5 though, so that's...something.

That's a situation where they've specifically built a list to take down your force, mind. Also a Riptide firing EWO to kill a 50pt squad is hilarious overkill.

Yup, and then the Homing rule says you can ignore the LoS restriction. You're overthinking it. :)
