Re: set of 3 old style crisis suits, new-on-sprue, to trade

Hmmm. I DO have a new tyranid monstrous creature that could use some sculptural elements on his base... Say, a crisis suit with half a dozen rippers bursting out of it. (Oh, the indignity of it all!)

Re: set of 3 old style crisis suits, new-on-sprue, to trade

man, nobody wants those old suits, do they! They are real dogs compared to the new kit. LOL.

I'll give members a crack at them for a few days, and then place them up on ebay if nobody in the community want to trade for them.

Re: Tripwire's Sept: Arashikage

Looking at these images, there's nothing like a little hi-rez, close up photography to remind you that your models look like they were painted with a mop. I think my guys look great when I paint them, but the camera sure doesn't hide any flaws! Makes me really appreciate the 'eavy metal painters. I ...

It's Vallejo gory red paint turned into a wash with lots of GW Lahmian medium. And then some small hits of Nuln Oil in the deepest parts.

Re: Tripwire's Sept: Arashikage

What a beautiful conversion, how did you do that? Although he has too many fingers. It's just one of the empire battle wizard from the fantasy line with a spare tau head glued on! I had to dremel out the neck area a little bit for it to fit, and made a slightly curved surface on the bottom of the m...

set of 3 old style crisis suits, new-on-sprue, to trade

Admins, sorry if this is the wrong spot. Looked around but didn't see a specific trade forum, and either it's late, or I'm nearing functional illiteracy due to drink... ATT'ers, I have a set of 3 new-on-sprue, old style crisis suits I never got around to building. missing 2 shield generators and a f...

Re: Tripwire's Sept: Arashikage

it's been a while since i built this guy, but if I remember correctly, the legs have ball joints, and the hips are simply the sockets. you can glue the legs into any position you want, so the only issue that pops up is the orientation of the ankles/feet. I just use a sharp blade to chop the feet off...

Re: Tripwire's Sept: Arashikage

Whew, it's been a while, but I finally got around to shooting some studio photos of my completed XV8 commander, Hayato. I'm quite pleased with the way he turned out! http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jrB3n-Ya7o8/VOPg_zzSKLI/AAAAAAAACpg/TvYc13255ZI/s1600/hayato02.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_hkTFeUKYHY/VNf...

Made some Tyranid power markers

Hey everybody, I put some tyranid power markers together during the week, and posted the file to my blog. I was always forgetting which model had which power or effect, so I thought these might help. They're in different shapes and colors to denote powers, blessings, maledictions and instinctive beh...

It's always a good knock to your ego when you see a painter so talented you say, " F&%$# it. I give up. I'm going to play xbox"

Re: Tau and allies of conveniences. Any advices please ?

why worry about allies of convenience when you can bring a hammerhead with longstrike and submunition rounds that solves all of the problems you listed? 1. tyranid swarms - railgun with submunition rounds. Pie plates for everyone! 2. tyranid hordes of psykers - see above (or, hell, hit them with the...

Re: Repainting Entire Tau Cadre

While I cannot speak to the simple green for stripping paint, I can attest to castrol superclean. (found at any automotive retailer) a 24 hour soak made all the paint slide off my eBay models, and had ZERO effect on the plastic.
