Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Stuff... What's their policy towards it in GW shops? It's up to the manager of the store whether or not they allow you to use FW models in the store. A lot of managers decide not to because they can't make any money from selling FW models and if someone sees a model they like, they may spend money ...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I have a bad feeling that the only FW changes we will see are points increases. I could be wrong, but i suspect that GW has only had feedback from playtesters on FW units that they think are too powerful for their cost (maelific lord, possibly the y'vhara). There are so many FW units and people will...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I don’t they would put out the Tau battle force if they were trying to phase Tau out. I believe our codex is gonna do great! Every codex so far has been great. So will ours! They're obviously not going to remove Tau. It's just the (conspiracy) theory that some of the playtesters don't like Tau, and...

Re: Are there any examples of Tau Cybernetics?

Don´t know if this minis count but here is one with the cybernetic eye again https://wargameexclusive.com/shop/greater-good/greater-good-squad-leader-ghost/ That's not a cybernetic leg, that's a guy half out of his stealth suit, he's also carrying the back/jetpack. As for examples in the lore, I'm ...

Re: New Tigershark Fighter-Bomber up for pre-order

For what its worth the new data sheet just gives the ability to swap out the burst cannons for CIB. Not much change but then I don't think it needed much - this was one of the FW data sheets that they got more or less right. My only problem is how much I want one and how much it is irrational to sp...

Re: New Tigershark Fighter-Bomber up for pre-order

The problem is that the moulds for Resin get used by FW until they barely resemble the original anymore which of course increases the rate of failures the longer it gets used. This is bad, I agree. Also that it's expensive which can't get excused with the artists time etc. since that one is the sam...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Yeah, but others were saying they would completely go. I was just pointing out they were still releasing new kits with them in so it's unlikely.

Well, not that obviously, since I felt the need to point out what I did, and the exact phrase "remove them entirely" was used in the discussion :P

Re: New Tigershark Fighter-Bomber up for pre-order

no way I'm paying THAT money for resin fix-it-yourself This is the one thing keeping me too from getting FW stuff. Love the models, love resin (in general) but why can't they be more like Paulson and make flawless casts? So much repair work needed when it comes to FW models. I suspect it depends he...

Now on Forgeworld, ships 17-Nov and the pre-order Air Caste models are back.

Sorry if this has already been posted, I didn't see a post if there has been one.

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I wouldn't even be overly surprised if Crisis would lose access to CIBs (GW removed weapon options for some units with the Codex release when the unit itself had no bits for it in the box. Not always though). This didn't occur to me until a bit ago. If they did this, I think a lot of people would b...

What were the % reductions for the big units in the Eldar codex? That may be a good guideline to use.

Re: Let's Contact GW! (Round 3)

You undevalue the fact that str5 is extremely good and our entire army has it standard and with good volume. Having us shoot on 3+ standard or easily is just bad for the game. There's a reason why they made it hard for us to get the extra +1 BS. Yes I understand the frustration of our long range ta...

Re: Let's Contact GW! (Round 3)

Pathfinders always hit on a 3+ when firing Markerlights regardless of any modifiers." They will need to add a special caveat to this simply because of the heavy weapons. I bet it will read something like "Markerlights fired from this unit hit on a 4+ in the shooting phase regardless of mo...

Re: Let's Contact GW! (Round 3)

Check out some tournament reports, you'll find Raven Guard are doing quite well. Alpha Legion, raven guard, stygies VII (Admech), eldar altaioc, guard Psyker can give it, death guard, venomthropes. I'm sure there's loads more I can't believe you haven't encountered any? Take your dirty facts out of...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

You must be new to T'au :D We used to have targeting array and yes I did include them on most of my suits especially broadsides but they stopped them for some reason possibly because would be too good on Riptide and Stormsurge etc Indeed, but even an auto-include system at a small points cost is be...
