Re: Ke'lshan Cadre and other works

FORTNIGHT PROGRESS REPORT The drones are very nearly complete; just some more highlighting really, and I'll spend time on a proper shot when they are. http://pixeljunk.cinosure.com/20180118_225059.jpg Wouldn't picture without looking washed out, so more post-editing than I would like. Was going to ...

Those are really nice. I'm a huge fan of subtle or elegant conversions, and I think you've nailed theres. I'll be back here for inspiration.

Re: PeeJs sept rebuild project

Cool, nice fresh start, but for the record that previous paint job looked alright too.

What colour scheme will you use for these?

Re: Ke'lshan Cadre and other works

A good thing has happened... I am the proud owner of an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. It was purchased 3 weeks ago, but I had been patiently waiting for hose interconnects for the garage compressor tank. It's because of this I've not made any real progress, literally everything I was in the process of or was...

That's 2 thumbs up from me! Good job, all I can see now though is tropical fish; which fits the T'au naming scheme :)

Re: Plastic glue for Antennae

Get a piece of scrap and put the glue on that. Then get the edge of a paper clip or craft knife and scoop a tiny amount. Apply to the dip in the antenna and then adhere to the helmet. Easy :-)

Re: Ke'lshan Cadre and other works

Great stuff man, really like the lenses as well. I started with red lenses on my Sa'Cea but think green will work better with the blue. Do you know which paints you used for them? Thanks again, compliments make posting worth while :-) The paints I used:- Castellan Green (base) Goblin Green / Warbos...

Re: Airbrush advice

It is the pressure at the brush I'm wanting to be careful with. I'll get it set though and post results when I'm done... Christmas bonus this evening, so purchasing soon ;-)

Re: Airbrush advice

I've a humidity filter at the tank. Got the shopping list ready then: Iwata Neo 1/8 hose 10ft 1/8 to 1/4 coupler 1/4 quick release I've a regulator on the tank too, with about 15ft of 1/4 hose, is it worth adding another regulator after that hose, so closer to the brush? It would still have 10ft of ...

Re: Airbrush advice

Thanks for all the advice, greatly appreciated.

I'm actually wanting to connect this brush to a 150 litre garage compressor. It obviously handles the pressure requirement, but aside from obtaining the correct couplings, is there any downside to setting up like this?

Budget airbrush & garage compressor setup advice

Would the budget Iwata Neo be good at applying base coat to models? I'm thinking the large coverage of paint would be worth the budget cost (£65).

Re: Let's Contact GW! (Round 3)

I would love something - anything - to do in the Psychic phase. A relic that gives a flat 5 Deny the Witch roll? -1 to your opponent's roll? My feelings about the Melee phase are similiar, same with JSJ style gameplay. It puts me off to effectively skip so many phases in a turn. Addressing the figh...

Working on 4 Pathfinders at the moment, and then a Crisis suit after that. By the 10th Dec .... I'd like what Im working on, and a Devilfish finished :-) Tiny amount of base detailing to do on the now 9 member PF team, not really closer to finishing the DF. My goal somewhat changed along the way th...

Re: Ke'lshan Cadre and other works

The lenses are really well done - is there a tutorial you leveraged? It is something I haven't done in my army yet. Mine are all flat. Thanks, I appreciate the nice comments :) I may have followed a tutorial, but I don't remember it, I use intuition, and trial and error! I did first make the mistak...
