Re: Ideas for Firesight Marksmen Kitbash?

Not sure how cost effective it would be, but taking the front "hood" of a stealth suit has a very similar shape. You could maybe put a target lock in the face hole of the suit. Add on to that a fin/antenna from a devilfish sprue, or broadside sprue to get that distinct shape. Nice idea wi...

Re: Ke'lshan Cadre and other works

Fortnight's progress report Bases I did consider ditching the perspex flying bases in favour of wiring, but given I've so many laying around, why not first give them some love and see how i like them - quite a bit as it turns out. http://pixeljunk.cinosure.com/20171123_212616.jpg Marksman I've been...

Yes, working now, and nice colour scheme. Nice photo composition too, but if you don't want shadows avoid pointing the light source directly at the models.

Will enjoy watching this grow.

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

Though none are quiet from the T'au armoury, these might be helpful in a conversion:-

Re: Are there any examples of Tau Cybernetics?

Funny, I had just the same thought this morning, whilst working on some miniature leg repairs; I thought it would be neat to have a bionic leg. But, looking at the T'au aesthetic, I think it would end up looking normal ... like Luke Skywalker's hand.

Re: Weekly Discussion #1: What happens to Gue'vesa once they join the Tau?

Gue'vesa: Composite Word; Meaning; "Lowest Helper" or "Human Helpers" – It refers to any human indoctrinated into Tau society or was born as a generations under Tau control. Would any Gue ever be considered for promotion? They're considered the lowest / human but would devoted s...

To any fellow paint strippers hailing from the UK, Tesco Everyday Value Pine Disinfectant, 1 litre £0.30. The smell is not as strong and there isn't the same gloop when washing it off. Didn't shift everything but then neither did Dettol.

Seriously!? You already have a respectable paint knowledge, and are shading and highlighting, even pining the model and painting off base. Really only just started?

p.s. looks great!

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

Awesome work guys! I’m almost finished painting my cadre myself, only the riptide, six drones and five breachers left! Sorry for the small pictures, I was trying to fit the whole army in there. If anyone wants to see closer up let me know. Most of these were painted after a long slump that ended ne...

Re: Difference between commander and coldstar

Ah hu! Thanks for the clarification. I have the old school slope-style finecast commander, which from your description would be the Enforcer commander, and without the fins can't (WYSIWYG) be a coldstar. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BwlMGWRxbko/Uu9YXBVCJsI/AAAAAAAAHv8/9f-PSu1DwvM/s1600/CrisisCommander....

Difference between commander and coldstar

This is a model question over anything else, hence the Earth Caste post. What is the visual difference between the Commander model and the Coldstar variant? As I understand it, the standard commander is in XV8 and the Coldstar is VX85, is that right? So this model is actually the XV85?! Education be...

Re: Fighting Blood Angels: Need Nelp with Tactics

This isn't about how to beat any army, this is about a level of maturity. I mean this in all due respect ... but if you're young, get your parents involved and get them to get your model back. If you're not, collect YOUR model from your friend's, and swallow some pride. Don't play a game with such r...

Of course. So several 1 HQ and 3 troop choices for several patrol battalions would be reasonable?

I don't want to be spammy, just love firewarriors think they're ace models.
