Re: Deepstriking Assault Armies help needed...

Just saw the rules for Servo Skulls, 12" deep strike denial? Il take 3 please! Im thinking allied Malleus Inquisitor converted to look like a Tau agent with 3 custom drones as the servo skulls :D One Eye Open will sting, but if i give him a hellrifle thats 36" 6 3 H1 Rending and i can just...

Re: Deepstriking Assault Armies help needed...

I like the idea of smaller units, but im struggling to fit it all into a CAD. My elite slots are already full! At 1,250 point games i want to separate my Ghostkeel and Stealth Suits off into an OSC to free up Elite slots, then maybe run Suits in 3x 2 squads? Bubblewrapping seems interesting but im n...

Deepstriking Assault Armies help needed...

Hey all, a Fledgling Tau commander in need of some help here! Ive finally managed to assemble a small force based on what i got for xmas, cheap ebay purchases and a Start Collecting box set, and ive found a club that im beginning to frequently attend. The majority of opposing armies seem to comprise...

Re: Fielding the 'Tireless Hunter'

Cheers for the reply, But it doesn't actually say anything about them being unique units in that image, does it say that on the data sheet for that formation somewhere?

Fielding the 'Tireless Hunter'

Hey all, recently noticed on my Battlescribe app that I can take the option for a 'Tireless Hunter' Piranha over the regular one, with the difference being +5pts and +1 BS. If you can indeed take it as a basic replacement for the Piranha in a CAD why would you ever not field this over a standard one...

Re: List Advise for a 'New to Tau' Player - 1,850pts

Thanks Xenotau, thats actually some pretty great advise! Ive got a 500pt list that im building towards now just to practise those three basic warriors, pathfinders, battlesuit elements and will see where i should expand from there. I am still going to experiment with list building for later stages t...

Re: List Advise for a 'New to Tau' Player - 1,850pts

Okay, ive redone the list, but have brought it down to 1,500 for now and will expand it later. The revised list is as follows: Tau (1,500) Empire v11 (1500pts) HQ Ethereal (55pts) [Recon Armour] Troops Strike Team (45pts) [5x Fire Warrior with Pulse Rifle] Strike Team (55pts) [5x Fire Warrior with P...

Re: Looking For A 6 x 4 Collapsible Table Supplier - UK Only

Not a table, but if you're going for a roll-away variant, I saw these used - on a youtube video. http://www.urbanmatz.com Yeah there are a few companies who make these who i have been comparing. If i can't find a table, i will probably settle for floor and battlematt :) (actually i will probaby get...

Re: Looking For A 6 x 4 Collapsible Table Supplier - UK Only

Cool project :) I actually work in a workshop so could go about making my own if i can't find any to buy. So many of them are 3 x 6 and the like. Just frustrating that none have been built any bigger!

Looking For A 6 x 4 Collapsible Table Supplier - UK Only

Hey all, Having some difficulty finding a company that supplies a decent collapsible table, like the kind you would get at a catering event or similiar. 6 x 4 would be great but 8 x 4 even better! Lightwight also a bonus but the main thing would be the height. Really needs to be a decent height as w...

Re: Re-entry into 40K Tau Blog

I use an epoxy putty called Milliput. I have used it to create the wing tips of a busted Barracuda (see sig.); for example. Ah cool, ive heard of that one before, is to easy to use? Does anyone spray their models in anyone once their done to give them a protective layer? Like varnish or anything?

Re: Re-entry into 40K Tau Blog

Thats interesting, yeah i can see how that would work :D il give it a try an see! Im going for the new favoured white Vior'la colour scheme, but im thinking everything of seniority will have a red helmet/head like the Ghostkeel box has. Ive never been able to paint battle damage before, but ive foun...

Yeah the tidewall seems like a nice deal, just not sure how the piranhas will fair with reentering play.

Now im torn between the bonding upgrades and an extra drone for the missilesides :S

Have saved a few points on the VRTs though so thank you! :D

Re-entry into 40K Tau Blog

Hey all! As I learn how to model and paint again, (its been a very long time) I am going to post the occasional picture about it here. Nothing big or amazing, just a place to discuss and share :D I have a topic in the 'Cadre Building' section where I am trying to formulate a plan for what I am ultim...
