Re: The run to 8th edition

I'm excited by this new GW - it certainly seems to be a very different company under Rountree than it was under Kirby!

One important thing to us is taht FW stuff will have rules on day 1, as it seems by their FAQ. This is unprecedented as well!
Also, maybe IA14 will be done in 8th style?

Re: Riptide Unit & Nova Thrust Move

A unit must finish all its movements (no matter the phase) in unit coherency. Jet Pack Thrust Move is a "can move up to 2d6", not "must move 2d6" (Hit & Run has such limitation). So, even if one of the Riptides can move 4d6 in the Thrust move, it cannot end such movement outs...

Re: Tau close combat & 8th Edition

We need the Muay Tau detachment - filled with S+1 AP2 melee weapons! --- I use 1x Canoptek Harvest to deal with my melee problems How about the Ethereal Council? 3-7 Ethereals and all of them with either Equalizer for AP4 melee or Honour Blade for S5 melee. Oh and it's only worth like 7 Victory Poi...

And so the dream of Muay Tau lives on!

Remoras can hover and pack quite the weaponry before expending their missiles

Re: KX-139 Ta'unar Supremacy Armour discussion

Good super-heavies/gargantuans will kill Ghostkeels and Riptides like they were nothing. Also, Stomp. Fusion weaponry is too short-ranged to use on such expensive platforms. As Panzer said, Crisis is the best melta-totting platform we have. Or, even better, Stormsurge/Taunar to deal with the big ones.

There's no FAQ, but you guys could play with RAI. It's more or less clear they wanted the guns to have it.

Re: Building lists around Tetras

I love tetras. I outflank them for the simple fact that my meta is filled with ignores cover and few impassable terrain.

I ususally deep strike Crisis nearby them for sweet tactical fire. However, RC is too big and expensive for 1000p I'd only use it at 1850p+
