Re: Longstrike might not buff himself!

Are there examples of units in Age of Sigmar which have another unit's title as a keyword on their warscroll?

Re: Pathfinder Vanguard?

To be fair I was always talking about the special Drones since Gun Drones&Co obviously HAVE a Datasheet with all their rules in the Index while the special Drones only have the Datasheet of their parent unit. That's fair, but the rules for Gun Drones are provided on the Hammerhead datasheet jus...

Re: Pathfinder Vanguard?

Imo, interpreting "this unit" or "this model" to include separate units/models (or units/models who are treated as such) is the liberal interpretation of the rules, whereas my opinion is the conservative interpretation. After all, I'm not the one giving drones a plethora of free...

Re: Pathfinder Vanguard?

Drone Support says "From that point onwards, the Drones are treated as a separate unit." Vanguard says "...you can move this unit ..." The Drones are now a separate unit from "this unit" (the pathfinders), so I don't think they would get the Vanguard move. Panzer bring...

Re: New 8th FAQ

Seen Reece respond to this question on their latest review of the BAO format. Which part did you mean? That about Pesk or about the Deamon Lord? In both points he talks about abilities with KEYWORDS . No one disagree with this. The question is what is a keyword or when is a rule referenced to a Key...

Re: New 8th FAQ

I would have to say barring a typo on GW's part that the hammer head referenced is the name of the datasheet and not a keyword. Suppose also the rule says gunships, plural, which they do not use with keywords. Typically it would be something like TAU SEPT HAMMERHEAD GUNSHIP units if it was a keywor...

Re: RIP shield drones

Shield drones are still useful for those moments that your opponent decides "He's going to put the wounds onto his drones anyway, I might as well shoot the drones first." The opposite is true -- since you're going to put the wounds on the drones anyway, might as well target the battlesuit...

Re: Pulse Accelerator Drone and Math

No. Pulse accelerator increases the maximum range of the pulse rifle. A Rapid Fire weapon doubles the number of attacks it makes if its target is within half the weapon’s maximum range. So there's a parentheses in there: (30" [pulse rifle] + 6" [accelerator drone]) = 36" maximum range...

Re: Saviour Protocols and Models with Lost Wounds: Allocation Issue?

The key wording is "instead of the target unit." Since, if you use Saviour Protocols, you are not allocating wounds to the target unit, the core rules do not require you to allocate any wounds to a wounded model in that unit.

Re: Pulse Carbines almost useless

You're the person constantly pointing out, 5 markerlights is bad unreliable, so we'll ignore that last one, and go with the next to last with a markerlight and a controller. 4 drones at 8, and 2 for the controller, and 3 for the marker. That's 37 points. Terminator is 48 points a piece (26 base, 20...

Re: 8th Ed FORGEWORLD Tau

If you want another example of silliness -- in the appendix there are two identical weapons listed: the heavy rail cannon and the heavy railgun. The heavy railgun isn't an option for anything. They just couldn't decide what they wanted to name it, and left both in there.

Re: Tigershark AX-1-0 FW FAQ

I believe 20 is the wounds cut-off for the Titanic keyword, which is why they gave the Tigershark this rule instead. I think it's a worthwhile trade for less vulnerability to anti-titan weapons (even if it's still a glass cannon).

Re: Welcome to the T'au Empire, no longer Tau

The canon pronunciation rhymes with "wow" and "cow" though. Since when does "au" make an "ou" sound? "ou" sometimes makes an "ow" sound (e.g. count, shout, flour), while "au" typically makes an "aw" sound (e.g. fraud, h...
