Re: XV-109 Y'vharra battlesuit strategys

Well its good news that Farsight Enclaves count as Tau Empire according to their own book, otherwise you would have a point to make. Thank you for your courteous reply. Can you indicate where precisely this is stated? As far as I can tell, the closest is as follows: If you wish, you can say that an...

Solid painting on both sides, really had my imagination rolling over for a bit :)
A fun watch.

Re: [500] Farsight Enclaves - New to Tau

I'm personally very interested in low-point games. One has to field enough models to have a presence on the table, without going overboard on upgrades. It's way different compared to large games where fielding full-sized formations to get the max out of bonusses. Some Advice from me (I do not wish t...

Re: FSE Commander Build: Comments

To my knowledge a coldstar commander is a monstrous creature and can't join a unit of kroot knarloc riders. The Coldstar's MC status does not prevent him joining other units. You are however correct on him being unable to join the Knarloc Riders, since they are MC's aswell, and IC's may not join th...

Re: Ideas/tutorials for invisibility effect

Now I struggle with the language: I once saw a XV25 with pretty much decoration on it's base. Even a short broken wall behind it. The suit's back side was painted normally but it's front like the things behind him. Just like the woman on this picture. This maybe? http://www.advancedtautactica.com/v...

Re: Riptide: Heavy Burst-Cannon, Nova-style!

I do feel I should start with the fact this has been discussed in varying degrees throughout multiple topics already. don't forget our forum's search function! My very first Riptide game involved a Nova'd HBC Riptide (no stims) with 4 wounds left. Suffice to say, it did not survive it's own shooting...

Re: Stealth Suit Unit loadout

One can look at that from a different angle. All Battlesuits have MultiTrackers. It would be "weird" for Stealthsuits to be the exception. As mentioned, the Shas'vre benefits from it's Multitracker with the Markerlight option (an upgrade that almost always finds its way onto my stealthteam...

Re: Commander skystorm's forces

Really liking the striking blue with orange contrast! I realize you're not quite done with these yet, so I don't know if you maybe had this, or something similar planned already. I feel the Stealth/Crisis would really benefit from orange squad-markings (beyond the whites wich I assume designate rank...

Re: Is it Viable?

I do not own any Stormsurges or Ghostkeels, and do not feel like I'm cutting myself short not fielding either of them. Even if I've never played with these models before, I haven't needed them to field effective all-round armies. As for Riptides, (Forgeworld too sometimes), 1 of them usually finds a...

Re: To squad or not to squad

Though I agree with it's effectiveness, it's hard to field (3 CAD's, or Unbound). There's a lot of cons to it aswell, some of wich quite significant. In some area's so significant I'd argue it's simply not worth it. Some additional cons/comments/thoughts. Pros 2) Small foot print per model . Easier ...
