Re: Upcoming T'au Codex
Jet Packs
At the moment, JUMP PACK is a keyword for some armies. At the moment, I believe it is simply used to determine whether a model fits in a transport or takes up extra transport space. I admit to only skimming, but I don't think any strategems or other powers directly ...

Re: Do Pulse weapons shoot bullets?

FYI one of the things they assert is that there is considerable recoil when firing the weapon. This is not correct as there is no chemical reaction in this process and therefore no recoil. That is no expansion of gasses propelling the round down the barrel. There is no explosive force acting on the...

Arka0415 wrote:There have been major battles fought on and around Terra of course... what about on T'au? Has the Tau homeworld been attacked or besieged by an enemy force?

Not T'au, but the Imperium did assault Dal'yth, another major First Sphere world, at the end of the first Damocles Crusade.

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Bright side to it being March: -Units get tuned twice, hopefully correctly -Tau have had some of the longest to think about Sept rule for (followed by necrons maybe) My understanding is that most or all of the playtesting and book writing has been done. It has been suggested that, very likely, all ...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

5-8 septs will be my guess At this time, I'd guess more in line with 3, maybe 4 septs if we are lucky. My reasoning is this: AdMech Codex previews described seven dogmas for seven forgeworlds, and I saw lots of speculation about which would be selected. Turns out, the seven chosen were the same sev...

So basically boxes with models worth of 140€? That would be one hell of value. :D

Add a riptide to it. Start Collecting! The Eight!

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Both Craftworld Eldar AND tyranids get a new Start Collecting box, and if I'm remembering my recent trip to my local warhammer store correctly, they both already HAD start collecting boxes. The Eldar with a fireprism and some bikes, and Nids with a Hive Tyrant, some warriors, and some gargoyles. For...

Re: Sa'Cea Sept Panels

Special case: some warrior are allowed to wear an inversed color scheme because they are heroes or whateveer (so for Sa'Cea that would mean orange armor and Sept&Rank markings whatever color you decided to paint the armor of the rest of the army) With the exception of the Infiltration Cadre Bur...

http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/ is about what you're gonna get. One of the largest exclusively 40k forums on the net, caters specifically to armies of the Imperium and Traitors. Xenos discussion is mostly policed.

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

For one, I like to see Tau only being released next year, and after Chapter Approved. This could mean the book will already have any relevant FAQ applied to it and recude the need for (too many) corrections later. Also, the community keeps giving GW feedback, which means an even more balanced book ...

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/08/31/breaking-news-studio-preview-from-the-nova-open/ No Tau codex on the horizon. The next three codices after AdMech have been teased: Craftworld Eldar, Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum, and Tyranids. It's safe to say that the rumor of "AM + Tau" r...

Re: Modeling Tau Females - a discussion

If your ignore the nasal slit, then the shape of the head would tell you whether the model was male or female. The first two heads are rectangular and therefore male, and since Shadowsun's face is oval shaped, that she is female. But when you think about judging sex by the shape of nasal slit that ...

Being that it's 100 years later, maybe GW remembered to take all of the Tau prototype equipment, like the xv22, into the production phase.

Re: Dawn of War characters!

A model for O'Kais would also be a model for Or'es'ka.
With wargear options, they'd make a nice generic stealth Commander.

I haven't looked at DoW III, but if the mini's wargear could reflect each stage of equipment progression for the game characters, they could be quite points flexible.

Re: My T'au gue'vesa army ideas

For kill team and SWA games, we fluffed up a setting for some gues. World was vassalized by Water Caste, and while much of the world is happier under Tau rule, there are still dissidents, and kind of a Nazi-occupied France underground resistance of Imperials firebombing Earth Caste factories or what...
