Re: Hello from the west coast! =)

You sound like you are a really good addition to the archives of the tactica, i really like a player who enjoys the fluff and painting over the sheer power in-game (although i do like killing things) it is nice too see a change of pace. :fear: :fear: :fear:

Re: New formation? [plus a great deal from GW]

I Pre-ordered a set, too good of a deal to miss out on, not sure what I'm going to do with 62 fire warriors. I might get to use them all in apocalypse game Ok, fair point but get 6 devilfish for the low price of £130 and one ethereal and you can do ultimate Fish of Fury shooting out 180 shots , boo...

600 Point Tau first second and third.

Recently me and a few of my friends went to a 600 point tournament and tau placed 1st second and third. We had a few big restrictions: No more than 33 armour on tanks, no more than 2 wounds and no better than 2+ saves. The three tau lists were all very different, one entirely kroot, one heavy on ste...

Re: Starting Tau annnnd a couple questions/opinions

First off all, you probably can use pathfinder legs for fire warrriors as they are very similar, but the usual tau colour scheme is for desert and since the tau change their armour when they go into different places you may as well do a similar scheme but with green and light green.

Any pictures of your army? I just wanted to see as my scheme is red/white too. I feel like it will look similar but yours will be better painted!

Re: Clever Ork hordes

I also face swarm armies commonly and i usualy take farsight and seven bodyguards all with 2 gun drones and two flamers. This supplies your crisis with a defense of 14 drone wounds and flamers, 14 of them deals a lot of wounds epecialy when your opponent cant make a save against them. Since you don'...

Re: At what point level do you take a riptide

I feel that you can fit a riptide into most points and in fact the lower points the better, when i have 1000-2000pt battles with my friends and take a riptide it gets taken down my mass of fire but when i took it in my 600pt schools league list it only died once as the opponent has to focus their en...

Re: For the greater good, PeculiarFireWarrior signing on.

I know but i don't use a commander much anyway as half my battles i ally with my friend who has a commander, to i have his pathfinders for the battle and he has my marker drones
