Re: GLORY TO THE OMNISSIAH (No really, Tau inside ;-) )

This army looks familiar. Did you use it at ETC 2015 against a rather unlucky but good-looking Maltese player with Imperial Guard and Khorne Daemonkin? :P That would be me indeed :) Sorry for recent inactivity, I'm pretty much on 40K hiatus because I bought a new (old) house. Renovation is taking a...

Re: Caledonian Uprising - pints after!

Hmm, I like that combination, markerlight, target lock and VT for a skyfire markerlight. I am really looking for new ways to play my tau, I've had great success with old Tau lists, using 2 (or 3) skyrays and the firebase cadre as a basis, minimum of 2 riptides and usually a markerlight drone + comma...

What where the basis models for those pacific rim Riptides?

A company called NECA made them, see here for the base models:

Re: GLORY TO THE OMNISSIAH (No really, Tau inside ;-) )

Thank you. The paintjob is not mine, you can see that mentioned above. I am however very happy with the look. Below is my first stormsurge WIP. The D missiles are just tacked on, arm & shoulderguns are glued in place. I'm still very much debating on where the last guns should come and then etche...

Re: Caledonian Uprising - pints after!

I've made up my mind, I've decided to go quite defensively aimed at defence versus the many forms of mass grav shots. If there's one thing I can't stand it's losing a game before you've done anything... This is a first list for me since the old fire base cadre was discontinued, and a first one where...

GLORY TO THE OMNISSIAH (No really, Tau inside ;-) )

First up for any mods, it is a bit unclear for me where I should post this, I have both completed unit pictures and I intend to post my work in progress (Currently fighting a stormsurge.. ;) ) If I have to post that WIP pictures in a separate thread please let me know. If this is in the wrong forum ...

Re: 1850 Cut-throat, but with restrictions

Yup, I've made my entire army back when there was no Adaptus Mechanicus in 6th, and this is my ad mech army. I will look around the forum to see where I should post completed army pics and work in progress. I don't think this is the right forum bit to spam a billion pictures. If you like giant robot...

Re: 1850 Cut-throat, but with restrictions

Sorry no one gave input before the deadline. I like your list, plenty of EWO, kroot bubble to wrap versus drop pods. (I find that combined 20 kroot and ewo is usually good enough to defend against drop pod lists.) For future reference: You could drop a flamer per crisis even both. I find when I play...

Re: 1850 Cut-throat, but with restrictions

This format seems familiar... ;) you would not happen to need to send in your list before the 19th now would you? :P As a foreigner I am not up to speed on the type of exact lists people will play at the CU, I am currently breaking my head over what to take as well. The 2 sources/formations limit is...

Re: KX-139 Ta'unar Supremacy Armour discussion

You seem to be forgetting that sometimes you need to dig in. As long as the Tau are expanding they have (broadly speaking) the initiative and can choose the site of battle. But the larger the area that they control, the greater the odds that one or the other other race is going to invade YOUR home p...

Re: KX-139 Ta'unar Supremacy Armour discussion

Well, that's my 3rd post here. I just love the model, I'm getting this for my birthday. (Sadly that's half a year away..) I have not seen any rules for that 5 barrel gun, posted earlier in this thread. The Fusion gun has 5 shots, but the pictured one does not look like Tau Fusion to me. One thing th...

Re: Krewl

I've seen the leaked pics just now, and I'm already starting to think about Pacific Rim models to convert to the big gun missile variant riptide. I'm thinking Cherno Alfa as a basis for the heavy variant. I don't have many work in progress pics of my existing tau, just finished product stuff. If the...

Hi there, As I'd like to reply to a topic here and there I thought I'd sign up and do the proper thing and introduce myself first. As I dislike the boring filling in of lists of questions I just have a bit of info below that should broadly cover what I like in the hobby. My name is Gerard, mid thirt...
