Re: The Tau Sorcerer

Just last night I was reading one of the books and there is a Tau Sorcerer. The Water Caste Tau Por Malcaor also known as The Water Spider is a Tau who can use warp powers. No, he doesn’t count. He is a demon who possessed tau due to incident with Geller’s Field Generator, not tau. And of course da...

Re: Can Gue'vesa take part in Ta'lissera?

Whoa there fellas! Gragagrogog I didn't take offense at Val'Sitsor's comments, but takes for coming to my defense. It's okay guys if wedon't agree on topic. Having said that Val'Sitsor you missed my point. 1. The new Tau lore ignores ta'lissera, because (IMHO) GW wants to make the Tau bad guys in W...

Re: Can Gue'vesa take part in Ta'lissera?

I still fail to see where you find problem and what exactly you want to proof with these quotes. Wut? It's just a friendly conversation about the topic, nothing more. I don't perceive even the slightest animosity here... Sorry, I didn't mean it as offence too. English isn't my native language and i...

Re: Can Gue'vesa take part in Ta'lissera?

The 6th edition codex directly says that ta'lissera is closest equivalent to the term family (and there is nothing that indicate that only Fire and Earth Caste can have "family" bonds). I still fail to see where you find problem and what exactly you want to proof with these quotes. GW inde...

Re: Can Gue'vesa take part in Ta'lissera?

Isn't ta'lissera common to all tau, no matter the caste? Earth and fire castes were presented in codex as an example and I see nothing that prevents air caste crew or flight unit to undertake the same ritual. And there is several examples that water caste also use ta'lissera ritual in literature (fr...

Re: Can Gue'vesa take part in Ta'lissera?

In Broken Sword, written by Guy Haley the water caste diplomat advice to main character (who is gue'vesa and leader of bodyguard team) to undertake ta'lissera or close analog from his culture with his squad. And "ta'lissera" (in the form of hadshake) between him and main character is cruci...

Re: Crisis of Faith Book

First positive score appears on goodreads. It isn’t a good sign. I probably should pull myself together and actually write a review. Ignoring Enemy Of The Empire misgivings is a rational choice, but I’m afraid it has long-term consequences. If they can’t relocate a competent writer (like Guy Haley) ...

Re: Farisght: Crisis of Faith - New Farsight novel in july

Just finished reading the book. Not in the Kelly defence, mind you, but still - tau that kill other tau was not just shaken or gone mad. He was possessed by demon. And the beginning I felt motivated – motivated to write very long and cruel review on goodreads and even thought that it can potentially...

Re: Farisght: Crisis of Faith - New Farsight novel in july

Yeah, Guy Haley and Peter Fehervari know how to handle tau stories right, indeed. However, while I pretty much despises the previous book, I must admit that not everything was completely wrong – Phill have some nice ideas and concepts, but just can’t made them work. And mocking this book through ret...

Re: Farisght: Crisis of Faith - New Farsight novel in july

The end is near! Crisis of Faith will be out soon. And as a highbringer of it there is interview with Enemy Of The Empire on warhammer community. Surprisingly it is not that bad. It looks like Phill actually read some from ATT, or may be he actually always understand couple important things, but jus...

Re: The run to 8th edition

I hope XV9 wouldn't be nerfed too much. Even if they stay expenssive and overpriced, I don't my getting my burst cannon ones back. It should be something like 16 S5 Ap-1 (ATS ofc) shots per model in T6 with deepstrike if they will be transllated to 8ed in the same manner as crisis suits. Dropping th...

Re: The run to 8th edition

What is the difference between rolling attacks one at a time, or rolling multiple attacks together for units with mixed weapons that have Markerlights? If what you say is true, then if I roll my markerlights first, then whatever else I have in the units, I get the benefit. If I roll them all togeth...

Re: The run to 8th edition

Landraider is T8 16 wounds 2+ armor. And it costs 310-390+ pts depending on the type. A lot of space marine players are crying right now. New prices hit hard every fraction and it looks like everyone have a hard time accepting new reality. Competive gaming aside - I'm glad for stealth suits. Much m...
