Re: Kroot Cavalry (suggestions appreciated)

Try a google image search for kroot cold one riders. This was a conversion I stumbled on a few years ago, but never got round to making; it seems exactly what you're thinking of!

All looking good so far! Unusual colour scheme with the muted bronze and vivid blue. Very striking!

Is that a CIB conversion I see in there?

Re: Ironsky's desert operations Cadre

... A potential is rotating the hand grip onto a lower 'cartridge barrel' as the pump-action handle? This way you have one barrel at the right inline with chamber. and still retain the grip hand. I can see that working, but not necessarily with the way I'm planning on posing it: https://i.imgur.com...

That is a nice de-cloaking effect!

I'm never sure with stealth suits. The optics ball bit should denote rank, but that does tend to look a bit silly. Half the helmet could be overkill, but it might just work...

The intention is for it to have a reversible axe function, so short of remodelling the barrels to be narrower I think that would be too wide for a Kroot hand to grip. I will give it a go though...

A few pictures of very limited progress on the Kroot. https://i.imgur.com/l2qBPio.jpg These models were quite battered, so have taken some work to restore, I've also added some small extras in places https://i.imgur.com/9GXwiML.jpg and am currently toying with a shotgun varient https://i.imgur.com/m...

Re: 3D print extra parts: Stormsurge, Riptide, Piranha, ...

... @Ironsky Thanks. Actually, when I searched solutions to convert BC to StealthBC, your thread inspired me at first, but with my poor skills at GS and the amount of guns to make, I go to 3D instead. You are right, the BC on tanks (and maybe piranha and flyers too) are bigger. So I will post some ...

Nice Idea! I've been trying some thing similar with larger burst cannons on tanks https://i.imgur.com/X1SwER7.jpg and Riptides https://i.imgur.com/sMM7iOk.jpg These take some time to produce, but if you had the time they should be easy enough to scale up from your crisis design?

Re: Axioma_TAU´s Vior´la Sept

Looks like a good start so far! Nicely painted through out with some good little conversions thrown in! It looks like you have the upper legs of Commander #2 the wrong way round (left leg to right hip, right leg to left hip), not sure if that was for better posing options, it just looks a bit odd at...

I see what you mean about the lenses - they really pop! The attention to detail on the bases looks really good too.

Keep up the good work I'll be checking back around the 14th :P

Things are going very slowly (no hobby time lately), but things are pretty much glued together, awaiting greenstuff. I'm away from home at the moment, but should be able to get more pictures up (and more modelling done) in September

Re: Miond's experimentals (updates, pathfindes and commander WIP)

Thanks for the close-up ...Just needs a bit of greenstuffing, scoring the panel lines back in and polishing. Really happy that I mostly managed to recreate the Forgeworld crisis heads, even if the are too big for the regular crisis suits. Looks really nice on commanders and 'tides.... If that head f...
