Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Oh, it doesn't sound like "Git gud". But you say he has to overcome any situation with more firepower. And that's all we can do currently: Overwhelm with more firepower or you can wave your units a goodbye. edit: And add drones to everything. I stopped playing because this is not how I wan...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Sorry, but I can't follow your reasoning. Many people were hoping for a revamp of the current markerlight table. But instead GW puts out a stratagem to enforce the current table. I don't think they would introduce this stratagem and also rewrite the table or lower the hurdles to get the most wanted...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

The markerlight stratagem tells me the current table and overall mechanics will stay. I don't await them write such a rule just to invalidate it 3-5 months later. And if they'd plannes to do so then CA could have offered more changes for T'au. Btw, I love the german title for Chapter Approved: In No...

Re: Infiltrators question

Or try to deploy infiltrators as late as possible.
Could also cause a backfire: My enemy put a Rhino that close to a ruin I couldn't place my Pathfinders there (mission gave my pathfinders the infiltrator-rule).

Re: Multipurpose Strike/Breacher Teams

Get down of your horse. I literally answered on the question the OP asked. [...] I'm thinking of creating a small unit of Fire Warriors (maybe 6 strong) that are equipped with several weapons; holding either a rifle/blaster/carbine and having at least one other weapon slung up on their back. Fluff-w...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

We are talking much about battlesuit options (and a bit about vehicle options) but do you think there might be some love for extra tools for infantry? The thing with a free pistol for a shas'ui might be a test or a prototype for something. Pulse pistols at extra cost for every Firewarrior? What abou...

Re: Multipurpose Strike/Breacher Teams

You really want to play the quoting game? ^^ [...] so I think if I made 5-10 "variable" guys that could stand in for either type, I could vary my army lists in the future. I like the idea of Striker heavy gunlines, but I'm also liking the thought of devilfish/breacher rushes to get up clos...

Re: Multipurpose Strike/Breacher Teams

I thought we are already past being WYSIWYG-units by mixing Breacher and Striker parts like Rifles, Carbines, Blasters, Pistols and even Backpacks.
The backpack is no cosmetic, that's the part that gives Breachers a 5++ and Strikers only 6++ if a Guardian Drone is nearby.

Re: Multipurpose Strike/Breacher Teams

Especially if you follow the advice of inverting their colors (Veteran's scheme) there should be absolutely no confusion on their battlefield role. Heck, you might even use them as Pathfinders.

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Would be great, especially for T'au, if GW started to make some cast frames only with weapons and put these into the already known boxes and make them also buyable seperately.

Re: Tanks - what a disappointment

Field Resupply: At the end of each of your moving phases roll a dice. On a 5+ you regain 1 Seeker Missile up to your initial limit. or Emergency resupply: Once per battle you may call in an emergency resupply. At the beginning of your movement phase roll a D6 for every Seeker Missile missing. On a 4...

Re: Fighting Blood Angels: Need Nelp with Tactics

My friend plays Blood Angels and currently he only uses two BA things: Brother Corbulo and Librarian Dreadnought with their Blood Powers. The first is able to heal or even revive dead models (and he loves to put him out of sight near Grav-Cannon Devastors) and gives nearby Marines +1 attack. The lat...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I find it utter nonsense that highly advanced battlesuits would not carry some kind of reliable targeting system. Why would they still have the accuracy of a person on foot? It's ridiculous! Imagine the following: Battlesuits do all have a BF of 2+ or 3+ Battlesuit Target Systems For every weapon a...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I'd like to see a general way to negate some psi powers manifested against T'au. I simply hate how my enemy is able to do 2-6 mortal wounds per psyker and I can't do anything against that. I don't think of actively denying them like psykers do but IIRC correctly they have to focus on the enemys' psi...

Re: Follow-Up on the Sun Shark Bomber

As the Pulse Bombs also ignore cover and don't need LOS they are lovely to use on cover-heavy tables especially on those nearly immobile units with heavy weapons in ruins like Scouts with camo-cloaks threatening your fireblades.

Re: 50% Obscured and Cover

What? No. All models in a unit have to be in cover if you want a cover-save. Also every non-infantry model in a unit has to be obscured by at least 50%. If you have a unit of 4 vehicles all the models have to be within cover and every model has to be obscured by at least 50% from the shooters point...
