Re: New Barracuda is HERE!

Anyone considering or think it's possible to use this without DFTS supplement rules?

Re: Magnetising New Tau Crisis Suit Models With Block Magnets

The magnets on the pathfinders are really secure. I can leave the arms on while in my case and they hardly move.

Re: Magnetising New Tau Crisis Suit Models With Block Magnets

That's what I did to my suits. I always was afraid of using 2 magnets for one weapon and then getting confused which polarities they had...for each arm and weapon. Btw, I did the same for the shoulder mounts (especially on my XV88s). I like WYSIWYG (=What You See Is What You Get). "Does your M...

Re: Magnetising New Tau Crisis Suit Models With Block Magnets

I made a way for my magnetised weapons to avoid spinning. What I did was I cut half of the mounting prism off the weapon, drilled a hole and added a magnet. Then I added a magnet to the arm with a little drilling involved. The result, a sturdy, magnetised join with no spinning, but also retaining t...

Re: Magnetising New Tau Crisis Suit Models With Block Magnets

Hi George. I've used 2mm x 1mm N52 magnets in the past. They're surpisingly strong but I imagine they're not as strong as 3mm x 1mm magnets. I have the problem where weapons will move when touched but not always, if I were to flick them they'd probably fall off. My original issue was that I didn't w...

Re: Magnetising New Tau Crisis Suit Models With Block Magnets

Thats pretty much how I used to it just on the sides. Do you have problems with the weapons spinning round when you handle them? Also I figured using block magnets the correct size for the slots already there would make things much simpler since no drilling would be required. I probably just made it...

Magnetising New Tau Crisis Suit Models With Block Magnets

Hi ATT! I've just posted this over on Dakka Dakka but since I like lurking here and the fact that it's probably a lot more appropriate amongst my fellow Tauists I figured I'd like to hear your opinions on the idea . I've been mulling over a way to improve the magnetisation of my Tau crisis suits. In...
