Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

Yoo~ mah homies! I've been busy with my new jobs but I figured I'd post some more Objective / Asset / Fortification models I'm currently fiddling with to keep you updated. I suppose they will be easy to play as Aegis Defence Line models, or turrets following the Forge World rules. Or just random sc...

Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

Quick Update
I'm working some finishing touches on a Ghostkeel and Riptide suit.

What do you guys feel about a Ghostkeel head swap on the Riptide?
Could work?

Re: Keep order for the greater Good

So far my weapons are in a litte box, it's a mess since the paint keeps chipping off.
I'm thinking I should build a dedicated box for the weapon load outs with metal lanes to put them on.
That way they will stay put and sorted as well as keeping their paint jobs crisp. :)

Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

@ Kovash'shi I see! After some careful concideration I setteled on the targetlock from the stealth suit kit. I found the size just a perfect fit in the front - just above the Burstcanon as you can see in the first pic. All left to do is to tidy up the tiny gaps with some liquid greenstuff and it wi...

Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

To get the greenstuff to really stick to the face i use a small amount of superglue that binds it to in this face. Just be careful not to use too much. Try on a left over face first is my first advice. For the flat i just used a flat sculpting tool. Some moist is viod to get a smoot surface. A knife...

Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

Tactical sentry turret I imagine this thing is either deployed like a mini drop pod from Orca support ships for advancing ground personel or all ready deploed in the ground popping up if it is needed so i wanted it straight and not slightly leaning. If I make another one I'm sure that one will have...

Re: F.E. "Precision Onslaught" 1850 Contingent. C&C Please

I must say at first I was surprised and thought; that is a very specialized list! The low model count and high number of Marker drones made me first stop to think what they will actually use their marker hits, but after a quick statistic overview it adds up. Looks like a hard hitting list. :fear:

Re: Reefshield Mobile Artillery Firebase (Stormsurge conversion)

Did the model come with four destroyer missiles?
They are placed kind of low on the back, did you consider moving them to another location on the model?

Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

Thank you Kovash'shi . It took some time to get somewhat right but I got there in the end. Structural analyzer It was made from half a pulse carbine/rifle scope. First I cut the scope from the gun and trimmed it flat, the I simply split it in half to get the round button as lens. After that i sculpt...

Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

Small update on Darkstrider kitbash I've added the antenna to his backpack and sculpted a bionic eye similar to the one in the illustrations. I also added some ammo canisters to the inside of the gun. I fint it makes the blaster look more like a shotgun. Structural analyzer sculpted but is curing o...

Re: Scripting the new Tau units..

I'm looking forward to see more on this. How much have you done other than these Tau units?

Do you have set goals and a list of what needs to be done and how to do it?

Re: The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

The "breakdown of the parts" -list is a to do list for Darkstrider. I just put it in there to give you an idea on what parts I'm going to use Teal . So you noticed all ready? ;) Yes, I really liked the face and just went with it. Got a bit carried away writing the post so I guess I overloo...

Re: Reefshield Mobile Artillery Firebase (Stormsurge conversion)

I dig it!
That's some crafty earth caste engineering right there!

I would like more pictures to get a better 360-degree idea on how you built it and what it looks like from more angles.

If I ever get one I will very likely build it like this since I don't really like the original design.

Re: Third sphere expansion - The Spruefort

Featured Darkstrider WIP Based on a Firewarrior body from the new kit with a Pulse blaster, the head and forearm picked from Ghostkeel kit. Shoulder guard "cloned" from Stealth suits using Instant mold and greenstuff. Left to do is to sculpt a visor for her eye, similar to the bionic eye ...

The Spruefort - Third sphere expansion

Introduction Having been a tau player or more precise a tau collector- dating back to the beginning of thier debut as the new army on the block back in the early years 2k, I can admit I have left them for quite a while sitting in storage to give room for other 40k, fantasy as well as other modellin...
