Re: Image Hosting Options

25 Images? Well it's nice to have the option but I guess I gonna keep using a 3rd party option then.

Re: Savior Protocols and multiple mortal wound attacks

One minor thing in respect to the steps, remember that between Step 2 and 3 you get to make your save (if you have one). The FAQd rule says "successfully wounds", so it has to get through your save first Nope, "successfully wounds" means rolling "to wound" successfully...

Re: Battlesuit Party Theory List

broadsides are actually grwat in 8th. Where are you getting the 'broadsides are bad' bit from??? Because they are. Okay-ish at best. Just too expensive for what they do. And he is right about the Flamer. When you advance you get a to-hit penalty. Flamers don't roll to hit, they automatically hit an...

Re: Skyray- leave it on the shelf?

Well if you have problems with a particularly durable unit you really really want to nuke turn 1 you could give it a try but it will do only like 3-4 wounds a game and then is pretty much just an expensive Devilfish with less guns, no transport capacity but a markerlight.

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I'm still hopeful that the rumour holds and we get Tau after AdMech. I mean, the abbreviation was Tau/AM so its still very feasible to be true, especially since the guy was spot on with the rest of the release schedule. AM is Astra Militarum, not AdMech. No AM is AdMech. Astra militarum is IG ;) It...

Re: Savior Protocols and multiple mortal wound attacks

The way the Railgun special rule is worded though says that the 1d3 mortal wounds are allocated to the Crisis unit already so I'd argue you can't re-allocate them to the Drones. Hmm, that would mean you couldn't transfer Smite, seeker/destroyer missiles either... Railgun says on wound roll of 6+ &q...

Re: Vertical movement question

No we don't know for sure, but it would seem weird that we can just ignore it when flying over it but not when flying on top of it. It didn't came up in any of my games so far though so I can't even say how my group would handle it (we barely have terrain that's higher than 8" where a model cou...

Re: Savior Protocols and multiple mortal wound attacks

@Panzer, Let say a rail cannon shots at a unit suits.... ( would never happen I know ;) ) Rols a 6 to wound so in addition to d6 damage you get d3 mortal wounds. So I played so fare that the wound go to the drone unit. the drone saves the regular d6 and then that unit of drones stil need to resolve...

Re: Farsight list. Building towards

Yeah ATS on Fusion blaster is a terrible idea. You gain almost nothing from it. ATS is way better on high volume low AP weapons. Rail Rifle Pathfinder are okay. No tournament unit but can wreck things in casual/semi-competetive matches. I use them frequently and they rarely disappointed me. Just mak...

Re: Savior Protocols and multiple mortal wound attacks

And don't forget you allocating a wound to a drone...... Is allocating to an other unit........ You can not go back and forth with damage because the damage on the drone is on a other unit. Thanks :) Which is a non-issue since the whole damage of the wound gets turned into a single mortal wound any...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

AM is Astra Militarum, not AdMech. It's a post on the internet, it's perfectly feasible that someone shortened Ad Mech to AM without thinking about it, I've seen people do far worse to general languages that have actual rules, not just assumed shorthand. The rest of the release schedule he was spot...

Re: Do Support System have their own distinct bits?

Some do, some don't.
Shield Generator would be the most obvious one of the ones who have a bit.
Target Lock has none afaik.

We have an old thread about that somewhere here on the forum...I'm sure someone will link it for you eventually. :D

Re: Help identifying this color mix palette?

Looks nice, but if you want a really good palette then you should look up how to build a wet palette (it's really simple and there are tons of videos showing how to do it on youtube).

Re: Savior Protocols and multiple mortal wound attacks

The weapon profile would read like: S AP D Abilities 5 -2 D6 This weapon deals D6 damage, on a damage roll of 3+ it does 3 mortal wounds in addition to the damage. Because of savior protocol a drone would intercept this and take a single mortal wound because there is no damage roll when using savio...

Re: Tanks - what a disappointment

Gunrigs work out better than Longstrike point per wound, however they need more support and are overall less reliable. Longstrikes BS1+ and +1 to-wound against vehicles/monsters is gold.
He still falls back compared to things like Lascannon Razorbacks but we have to deal with what we have.

Re: Savior Protocols and multiple mortal wound attacks

lways depends on the wording of the ability. If it's a single (mortal) wound that does multiple damage you can let a Drone soak up all of it for a single mortal wound in return. If it's an ability that deals multiple (mortal) wounds you would have to 'sacrifice' a Drone to each (mortal) wound. The w...
