Re: Babies First Army: And you can too!

No washes. I just tried to be very careful lol. These were the first models I've ever painted so I didn't really know how to wash or anything.

Re: Babies First Army: And you can too!

There's actually not a single highlight on them. I figured the angles of the panels made their own highlights. I wanted to keep them matte because I felt that made the most sense with a tactical urban scheme. As far as tips, I thought neutrals made the most sense for the colors, and the blue was a n...

Re: New 8th FAQ

If a drones unit is shot directly, can't the shield drones still eat up however many shots before wounds are allocated to the rest of the unit? Sure it stinks they cant use their saves when using savior protocols, but they can still protect the unit from getting wiped as fast. Every time I use savio...

Re: The run to 8th edition

https://youtu.be/cJaL-Akll1w?t=2758 This is perhaps a better representation of what I was thinking. In this part of the battle, Matt's model cannot pile in in order to Fight. It's not so much about preventing the charge, but I wonder if it's possible to cause this to happen intentionally. I still do...

Re: The run to 8th edition

From what I've seen and from what I've determined from the new books, crisis suits are going to be bread-and-butter for a while until we get the new books. I think we will see a lot more drones on the table in general, especially sniper drones. I still don't know how I feel about For the Greater Goo...

Re: Newbie Slapfight: My first 500 point battle

Thanks!

I didn't want to play alongside anyone really. We didn't strategize or anything anyways so it was more like them going off on their own, while I dealt with trying to hurt gulliman.

Hopefully next week will go better.

Re: Newbie Slapfight: My first 500 point battle

So I played my first game last night. The guy that has been deemed the organizer of the 40k group at the store, decided I should team up with two other newbies. These were two 16 year old kids who were very spastic and couldn't focus on the game for more than 5 minutes without looking at their phone...

Newbie Slapfight: My first 500 point battle

So I'm about to play my first 40k game tomorrow and the guy helping me learn told me to come up with a 500 point list. My thought was to avoid expensive lynchpin models that need support, and just focus on throwing bodies and dice. Originally I had missile pods on the crisis suits with no thrusters,...

Love love love that devilfish!

I love how well you pull off urban tau. Super dark, but still detailed and poppy.

This is giving me ideas for my kroot!

Re: Babies First Army: And you can too!

As per usual, touchups etc. Finally got the confidence to paint my Ethereal! http://imgur.com/TXuGbXt.jpg http://imgur.com/PZypeB6.jpg http://imgur.com/tpFXNeP.jpg I'm surprised how well it goes with the theme. It took me an hour just to decide on colors before I even touched the paint. I ...

This is a cool tally counter I found for keeping track of various stuff. You can customize the colors, groupings, positive or negative integers and a bunch of other stuff. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yingwen.counter Not sure if there is an iOS version or not, sorry Apple folks!...

Re: Tactical Objective / Warlord Trait Card Folio

This is all I used: http://imgur.com/krpWeB9.jpg Basically you cut half the card protector off so it makes a little pocket. http://imgur.com/VvBoSRE.jpg Arrange them on one side of the folder with some glue. Cut a page that will fit inside from another folder, punch holes and affix the larger card p...
