You can only re-roll a dice once. So, even if you have two abilities that let you re-roll 1s, you can only ever use one ability. So, the abilities "do not stack," so to speak. Though you can put the ethereal next to your pathfinders to give them reroll 1's to get that first markerlight on...

I guess the simplified version of my argument is that rules trigger rules, not the lines within them. The act of the Drop Pod coming in to play is what triggers EWO, right? The better thing is that EWO, as far as I see, can also shoot to units that disembarks transports. Let's say a Tactical squad disembarks from a Rhino. Just use Shadowsun and have fun, it's simple :) I'm using her almost all the time and it's great to pair her with a Stealth team and Drones. Stealth field, cover, deploy whenever you want, homing beacon, mayor Fusion blaster damage. Super fun.

Right now I'm painting one and can't wait to try it. I think it will work perfect against heavy infantry armies like Deathwatch and Grey Knights (I play against both). Maybe not the best unit, but I usually play fluffy battles and it will be a perfect addition to my army.

Yes, that 4+ BS is very annoying, especially when marines hit on 3s AND are better in combat and better armour saves too. If we could shot everything on BS 3+ we would be too strong and I think 4+ is perfect. We simply must use markerlights. 4+ would be perfect if we had a better Markerlight table....

To me the main weakness is the unability to be versatile. Because of the 4+ to hit and because of all the D6 shots or D6 damage weapons, doing one thing reliably is already hard. Yes, that 4+ BS is very annoying, especially when marines hit on 3s AND are better in combat and better armour saves too...
