Re: Micro Art Studio's releases and more

You may want to PM one of the mods and see how they feel about advertisement posts. I know we have a couple other vendors who are part of the community who post work in progress pictures and stuff, but I think they are all individuals as opposed to companies. I am not sure if that makes a difference...

Re: Character Targeting rules

Base rule book page 179: Sidebar titled Characters. "A CHARACTER can only be chosen as a target in the Shooting phase if they are the closest visible enemy unit to the model that is shooting. This does not apply to CHARACTERS with a Wounds characteristic of 10 or more, due to their sheer size.&...

Re: Matchup against Aeldari

Well making sure there is enough line of sight blocking terrain may be a good thing to look into. Long range shooting out of bikes or wave serpents should do fine against Tau. Some wraithguard hidden and waiting for closer range suits should work well too. Trying to form a gun line to fight you is ...

Matchup against Aeldari

So I have played 3 games against my girlfriend who is both new to the game and new to Aeldari. Put bluntly, I have wiped her out all three times. Each time I have tabled her by turn 3. I am getting the feeling their short range vs tau's long range is just too hard to cope with. That said, is anyone ...

Re: Can I overcharge my Riptide's Nova Reactor twice a turn?

Rule in question: "In your Movement phase you can choose to use a Riptide Shas'vre's Nova Reactor. If you do, the Riptide Shas'vre suffers a mortal wound. Choose one of the following effects to last until the beginning of your next turn:" followed by the list. This verbage says you can cho...

Re: XV109 Y'vahra (any feedback?)

Probably will get focused down in the first turn. Him and DerpDrone can hang out together and see how long they last.

But yeah, shield drones rock. Take them. Maybe take some tech drones too to give you the option to fix Nova Reactor wounds.

Re: XV109 Y'vahra (any feedback?)

The Shield Drones are still extremely good. Finally worth taking with their FnP. No opponent will shoot directly at them due the T4 4++ 5+++ and shooting at the actual target just to see a Lascannon or Melta shot get soaked up by a Shield Drone is great as well. Best is the face of your opponent wh...

Re: XV109 Y'vahra (any feedback?)

Well there goes my hope plane crashing to the ground like a flaming blimp. Crap. So really better off with the repair drones really. Honestly, I am still a big fan of shield drones. Repair drones are easy to remove with normal shooting, where shield drones are very hardy. That said, using a combina...

Re: XV109 Y'vahra (any feedback?)

Hmmmm Im reading the yavahra rule sheet. It states for the mv52 drones that it passes a "wound" not a mortal wound. In fact it doesn't say anything to do with a mortal wound. Raw on that data slate a wound is then savable by both the 3+/5+. Both myself and another fellow read the rule tha...

Re: XV109 Y'vahra (any feedback?)

Ok so am i missing something? What on earth is the point of the sheild drone if you cant confer wounds to it and get a save? Might as well take a gun drone. The MV drone attached to the yavarha is pointless unless you can confer its 3+ invul. If you cant there is no need to take it at all unless im...

I am kinda hoping they fix the problem by making snipers across the board a little more cost effective and role effective.

Re: Crisis and Stealth Suit Loadouts

A 4++ on a two wound model is great...if they actually had weapons to be a threat without having to take ATS. I think the point Deathboon is trying to express is that to a knowledgeable opponent their threat level is more due to their homing beacon than their weapons as long as there is a suitably ...

Re: Planet Strike

Don't forget that anything with the Infantry or Fly keywords can deep strike at 6 inches in a Planetstrike games as the attacker. Think about this for a moment. 6 inch deepstriking Breachers. 6 inch deepstriking Ghostkeels. Basically everything we have on our list has a 6 inch deepstrike. So basical...

Longshot Pulse Rifle is not a Pulse Rifle, Right?

Just making sure, but a Longshot Pulse Rifle is not considered a Pulse Rifle for purposes of Fireblades or Pulse Accelerators, right? I am about 99% sure they are not, and that 1% is basically my inner power gamer trying to gleefully convince me that they are.

Re: 2.1k Competitive Flyers, Seekers, and Commanders

A 4++/5+++ is the same as a marine 3+ save for normal fire like from mortars so don't get too excited over it. But yes, against everything else it is very durable. 4++/5+++ =((3/6)+((3/6)*(2/6)))= 66.667% 3+ = 66.667% I do understand the numbers. Continuing those numbers, a mortar heavy weapons squ...

Re: 2.1k Competitive Flyers, Seekers, and Commanders

A flock of shield drones is incredibly durable with its T4 and 4++ and 5+FnP saves when being fired at directly. Consistent mortar fire may be able to remove the drones in time, but adding some to the list will make your list less likely to get wiped by sudden death. A 4++/5+++ is the same as a mar...

This may be useful as a starting point. It has the hex codes and paint equivalents. https://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Paint_Range_Compatibility_Chart Oh, and this could help with picking layering colors, if that is something you are looking for. https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Download...
