Re: What to do with a Pathfinder Team box?

My next project actually is a Pathfinder box. I will indeed be magnetising them for interchangability, and because I have 6 old metal Pathfinders, I'll be able to make: 2 units of 8(5 plastic and 3 metal), one with 5 Markers and 3 Ion, and one with 5 Markers and 3 Rails. The drones, I'll definitely...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

We are talking much about battlesuit options (and a bit about vehicle options) but do you think there might be some love for extra tools for infantry? The thing with a free pistol for a shas'ui might be a test or a prototype for something. Pulse pistols at extra cost for every Firewarrior? What abo...

Re: Rizzle's Incident Resolution Cadre

Amazingly fast and productive progress! This reminds me that I should have gotten my projects already finished a long, loong time ago... Also thank you for the bitz info. I'm surprised that I was not able to identify the part itself by taking a closer look. I'm not that big of a fan of those ...

Re: Rizzle's Incident Resolution Cadre

Yeah, subbed!

I'd call it a "sin" to miss out on a such gorgeous cadre's progress.
Looking forward to the future updates.

P.S. Those Vespid count as models are great looking! What bit's went into those jump packs? Thanks :D

Re: Choosing a Paint Scheme for my Shas'ui

I like to keep it simple. The first option looks great but I'd leave that white knee pad out (keep that uniform Tau ochre color).

The helmet would be really easy and quickly distinguishable (also really simple to paint) when it's the only contrasting part in your FW squad.

Re: nix0n's "The Unknown" Carde[WIP log]

Slow progress but well worth it! Enviable painting from you there; work like this makes me want to go back and re-paint everything in my collection... Really strong words right there Ironsky. I know that feeling... But to be honest your cadre has been one of crucial parts with inspiring me to start...

Re: nix0n's "The Unknown" Carde[WIP log]

Small update just to log in some of my thoughts and ideas. The progress is slow due to my tendency to try new things out and back out with a tedious clean up process. This time it was sept markings on the rifle and helmet. The markings were so horrendous that taking pictures of the end result didn't...

Re: A'kish Vior'la Cadre

Stunning work on the pose and basing! Absolutely love how the heavy duty weaponry looks on a new XV8 platform.
Although the plasma rifles on the sides like that make the model look a bit too wide to my liking.

How many of these broadsides are left to be done?

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

To counter the spreading of -1 to hit armies, I would love to see one markerlight tier (let's say the 4th) say "ignore all cover when fired at the targeted unit, as well as any negative hit modifactors". That way you'd have to commit a lot to hit those markerlights at -1 or more, but you'...

Re: Shield drones. I'm totally confused.

Wait... now I am confused. I am really sorry to intrude but now after reading your conversation I am not quite sure if I understood it correctly. No matter what drone you take, when it takes a wound for your friendly infantry/battlesuit unit it always cancels that wound on a 5+? I don't understand, ...

Re: nix0n's "Battle Worn Cadre" [WIP log]

Hooo... gosh what a day! I have finally "finished" my first Fire Warrior with a scheme that I am really happy with. All what is left is to glue it all together (arms and a shoulder pad), decide on the sept/squad markings, and base it. Other wise the scheme is ready and this is how the rest...

Re: Arka0415's Tau Sept Project Log

Very reasonable explanation for your painting process! Thank you Arka.
And I must admit that the 2-3 hours it takes to finish a model from start to finish is a great pace, because here I am still unable to finish my ten new fire warriors after months of painting the first layers :P

Re: Arka0415's Tau Sept Project Log

You are progressing with a really nice pace! Did I get it right, but judging by you pictures your finished Fire Warriors don't actually have any armor highlights on the ochre parts. May I ask for some close ups of those Warriors in the later log updates (if you feel like) to get a glimpse of how tha...

Re: Tau's most annoying weakness. Thoughts?

While browsing this discussion and seeing how there are so many enemy debuffs to shooting and how our shooting is so "meh" from the get go, would this fix anything? There would be a T'au specific keyword that doesn't allow any T'au unit to drop their BS worse than 5+ (or 4+ but I'm afraid ...

Re: A'kish Vior'la Cadre

Gosh I love the way you have posed your RIPtide :P Have you done any major modifications to it to achieve such a striking pose? Also in second picture I love how the middle crisis suit has a two tone body paint. Is that to differentiate a team leader from the rest of the suits? I hope you won't get ...
