Re: Arka0415's Tau Sept Project Log

The original color palette compliments itself in such large infantry miniature numbers! Great looking progress and kinda makes me wonder why the heck is it taking me so long to work on my miniatures. I believe I need more determination into this hobby. Quick question, are you going to field all 26 o...

Re: nix0n's "The Unknown" Cadre [WIP log]

Thanks to everyone for solid advice regarding varnishes! I just arrived back home from abroad and wasn't able to comment back earlier (mobile browser version is so clunky that writing even a simple response on my phone screen would have been disastrous) :D I will start with Tael's advice and try out...

Re: A'kish Vior'la Cadre

Awesome! Thank you so much! I will most definitely try magnetizing my pathfinders too (gotta make the most of that plastic kit). I'll just point out the details again just so that I understood everything correctly (my english may fail me whenever I get so excited) :P - 2x1mm magnets, probably N45 ra...

Re: A'kish Vior'la Cadre

I am afraid that I'm turning into this obnoxious fan that compliments everything you do :P Must admit that the magnetizing has been executed beautifully and the end result looks super clean and flush. I would like to ask some advice for such task if you are willing to share: - I suppose you used 2mm...

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

niXon I really like your clean paint scheme. How are you gonna paint the bases to go with them? Not quite sure yet. I am thinking of using citadel's stirland mud for basing with a heavy agrax shade and a light tan/grey drybrush to keep the base dark brown and not cause too much attention with colors.

Re: nix0n's "The Unknown" Cadre [WIP log]

Progress check. This post is just to log the progress of what has been achieved by now. Not quite much but better than nothing. https://i.imgur.com/WlO2jTA.jpg?1 My first "new" six man strike team is ready. And here is a group photo of everything that has been (re)painted after the revival...

Re: A'kish Vior'la Cadre

BIG applause! These custom XV-88s look like are ready to kick some butt! Great execution at a nice pace. Myself getting even one Crisis suit done will take eternities (that's why I am still fiddling with infantry models and not getting all of the appropriate materials for magnetizing my first set of...

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

Great job everybody! overthebrinkgames ' scavenged and saved miniatures look fantastic! Also DancinHobo , your stealth suit idea looks really nice! I could imagine these guys literally disappearing within some terrain pieces. While my goal wasn't that big or demanding I am still really happy with my...

Re: nix0n's "The Unknown" Cadre [WIP log]

Thank you very much!! Just have to say - those lenses really pop! what blues are you using? The blue colors I have previously mentioned on this log :) they are from the Army Painter range: Viking Blue for the deeper one and Troglodyte Blue for the lighter one. I barely fiddle with any mixing at all ...

Re: nix0n's "The Unknown" Cadre [WIP log]

 :D :D I have no idea why I am so excited as my painting progress has been painfully slow lately but I just managed to purchase a complete Fire Warrior set from a second hand Kill Team box! I thought that would be a great deal as I am so obsessed with T'au troops and it was half off from th...

Re: T'au infantry and KR multicases

I can tell you the smaller tray fits well for the fire warriors, the slightly bigger ones fits well for the stealth suits/kroots, the devilfish can fit in the tray you wanted, there is a pluck out foam spot so that the BC can be fit in. Thank you Macknight for your input! I finally bit the bullet a...

T'au infantry and KR multicases

Hello experienced hobbyists of the ATT community! I've took a huge plunge into researching KR multicase offerings and have a few issues delaying my first purchase. Searching through this forum has given me positive answers about this brand but not enough details that I'd like to hear from experience...

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

I've been lurking on this thread for a while now and finally decided to join. Since painting alone has been really boring and well... lonely, I am hoping this group of highly motivated personalities would help me out a bit. Here is what I got ready (basing not included) since starting like forever a...

Re: What to do with a Pathfinder Team box?

My next project actually is a Pathfinder box. I will indeed be magnetising them for interchangability, and because I have 6 old metal Pathfinders, I'll be able to make: 2 units of 8(5 plastic and 3 metal), one with 5 Markers and 3 Ion, and one with 5 Markers and 3 Rails. The drones, I'll definitely...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

We are talking much about battlesuit options (and a bit about vehicle options) but do you think there might be some love for extra tools for infantry? The thing with a free pistol for a shas'ui might be a test or a prototype for something. Pulse pistols at extra cost for every Firewarrior? What abo...

Amazingly fast and productive progress! This reminds me that I should have gotten my projects already finished a long, loong time ago... Also thank you for the bitz info. I'm surprised that I was not able to identify the part itself by taking a closer look. I'm not that big of a fan of those ...

Yeah, subbed!

I'd call it a "sin" to miss out on a such gorgeous cadre's progress.
Looking forward to the future updates.

P.S. Those Vespid count as models are great looking! What bit's went into those jump packs? Thanks :D
