Re: Off topic section? Suggestion

Well, So far the consensus has been to retain our current standards and avoid the "Mess Hall" atmosphere that existed in a previous rendition of what you are suggesting Knives . You can always peruse the member profiles for outside interests you relate to and it has been suggested that co...

Re: Off topic section? Suggestion

Lolz. :P. Nix. I was saying the forum was full of interesting people. Not you three specifically. Your guys names we're just easy to remember. And was using your names as an example for a hypothetical about what music any given member might like. Sorry you're not a sunbeam or special snowflake today...

Re: How are you liking the new addition compared to 7th,6th,5th, and 4th

I honestly feel like we have to split the way GW handles customer now and 8th edition stuff. They could act the same while keeping 7th or having any other kind of rules. Those two things aren't really connected with eachother except that both are caused by the same person behind the scenes. Fair po...

Re: Off topic section? Suggestion

Could that not simply be fixed with a disclaimer? A little bit of volatility is healthy in building character and development, according to a Dr of psychology We shouldn't be afraid to go down that road. From what I gather (this was all some years back before I was a mod) it was more than just vola...

Re: Off topic section? Suggestion

Once upon a time there used to be an off-topic subforum, the Mess Hall (back when all the forums were explicitly named after sections of the ATT orbital). There was quite some fun had there, but eventually it got out of hand and had to be closed down. There is however a sub-forum for non-Tau relate...

Off topic section? Suggestion

Any chance of an off topic section? It would be cool to talk about stuff outside of 40k about a lot of subjects with members of the forum. And a section for non tau forces. Like marines. I was thinking a free anything goes forum. With No banned topics with the exception of illicit activities ,things...

Re: How are you liking the new addition compared to 7th,6th,5th, and 4th

@Kakapo Fair enough. If something changes as much as GW and 40k did the past ~2 years (it really was a rather long process) it's just bound to happen that some people can't find their place in the new situation. It's always a tradeoff for a company and the community itself to change things up to su...

How are you liking the new addition compared to 7th,6th,5th, and 4th

Now that you've had loads of time to play. How do you feel this new edition stacks up to old. A lot of my friends we're not a fan of the over simplified firing arcs, Wounds, Tags and Primaris marines, new art direction etc. The age of sigmar 40k really never clicked with us. But most of us our 30+ B...

Re: Do you paint in batches, or one-by-one?

I paint based on colors. I also base coat the sprue first before assembly clean than glue. Next I batch paint by colors. Seems to be the quickest way. Using less paint.

Re: Revised head design 3D

Omg.. Been trying forever to figure out how to set a reliable mini size in zbrush. Do you use a template or could you send me a ztl file that and help me out with sizes? Pm if you can. I can sclupt anything just no idea how to set it to 32mm mini size. To be honest I watched a video on sizes once an...

Re: nix0n's "Battle Worn Cadre" [WIP log]

How are liking the full wash compared to just washing/ inking the recesses? You can also achieve loads of shading using gradients. A tutorial could help if you go that route. I like the ink/wash on the far right. But my only issue is the left over ink. On the hands and helmet etc. Now you can remove...

Re: Colony Security Force. A project log by Knives

Hmmm.... Probably should have left out photo realistic as an option. See what I can do. It could require some 3d modeling to get the textures and lighting right. Anyone know where to get a breacher wire frame to use? A Ztl file would speed things up quite a bit. Okay brother I will start with a 3D p...
