Re: Colony Security Force. A project log by Knives

Hey. Been taking a break from working on this project to deal with some stuff. Well staying alive really. My family have been collecting supplies and planning for a worst case scenario. I encourage you to do the same. During these ridicoulous times. I just wanted to say thanks for playing 40k. It ha...

Re: Colony Security Force. A project log by Knives

Hey guys. So as you may have read. I have been working towards finishing my project log here. I have yet to acomplish this goal. But I have got my first game in with tau. Well sort of. We are mid way through the game. 7th edition. And so far we are tied for two victory points each. I plan to post so...

Can you describe the paints and method for the stealth suits. If possible could you also elaborate on how you painted the gold especially.

Thanks.

Re: Colony Security Force. A project log by Knives

One of the biggest problems I've always had with Ethereals is that they look so out of place in such a mechanized force as a Tau army. There are clean lines and mechanical bits galore and then suddenly an unarmored figure in a robe, they just don't fit. You've managed to tie the Ethereal to the res...

Re: nix0n's "Battle Worn Cadre" [WIP log]

Yeah burn out sucks. Sorry to hear Tael, that you have to schedule hobby times. Never had to actively schedule fun in before. Lucky for me right now my leg muscles are torn. And I have the month off work. So lots of free time to model. I find small goals to be helpful. On my current project log. I f...

And I disagree strongly that it was my fault and not his. I don't have the power to ban people for not following an insane ultimatum. He does. Regardless of your feelings on the subject the guy was a tool. And I told him off for abusing his power and being a dictator. Who forces you to agree with th...

Re: Space marine equivalent

Bolter&Chainsword is the biggest Space Marine forum I know. At least it used to be Space Marines only. Since then they added subforums for Daemons, other Imperial factions and now even Xenos faction subforums. B&C has some rather draconian mods that have a horrible grasp of english. They en...

Does anyone know if there is a space marine equivalent site to tau tactica out there? Bolter&Chainsword is the biggest Space Marine forum I know. At least it used to be Space Marines only. Since then they added subforums for Daemons, other Imperial factions and now even Xenos faction subforums....

Re: How would a fluffy list look?

Well my gaming group don't use special characters. It's highly immersion breaking to see a named character like Row boat gills man fighting along side space marines who arnt ultra smurfs. The old rules used to allow you to request your advisary to not use them. To me characters break immersion. And ...

Re: Are commanders undercosted?

Why you should not do this. It's not fun. It's expensive.(real money) It's spam. It's not lore friendly. You will annoy people you play games against. It's power gaming. GW might nerf it like the rip tide. Reasons to use cmdr spam. You win. You have an un healthy obsession with min maxing. You like ...

Re: Optimal Markerlight per army size

I did take your advice and I have been looking at older lists. However I am still learning about tau and have yet to play a single game. My experience even understanding the lists and how each unit works together is limited. I never meant to offend. Just trying to learn.

Re: what to buy next

Buy a shield wall. They look good for displaying your army. I do like how the tidewall looks, what sections are usually run? I sadly don't know anything about tau in 8th. My game group will not make the switch soon. Mostly because we're old and new things frighten us. "Ir"-regardless. It ...
