My biggest question is how do you get any CP in a list like that and will that ultimately be the balancing factor. You can fit a 3 stormsurge super-heavy detachment and a battalion detachment in a 2k list. Would only getting 6 cp be a major factor in the viability of that list? We wont know until t...

I'd be totally happy with Riptides if using Nova Reactor to activate the Nova profile on the main weapon also triggered Ripple Fire. I think comparing Redemptor Dreadnaughts to Riptides highlights a glaring deficit. with a similar stat line, higher BS and more shots (depending on load out) you can get TWO redemptor dreads for the points cost of a single riptide. and they don't automatically take a wound to fire at full strength.

Markerlights - I think the +1 bs needs to be earlier in the chain, maybe 3 ML hits. That or we need bs buffs across almost the whole army. I think 5 ML hits should give you a +1 to hit rolls. How do we feel about the fact that you can get two redemptor dreadnoughts for the points cost of one riptide. What other rules could we be missing from the full codex that would make up the difference? or is the riptide just horrendously over costed?
