Re: My 8th Edition Fluff: A solution to the lack of a new Tau Codex

Maybe they sent all their suits away with the 4th Sphere of Expansion and so that's why there aren't enough competent pilots... It's never been about a lack of competent pilots. It's always been about the Tau Empire growing out of a regimented tribal culture that sometimes values tradition over pur...

Re: Riptide overnerf?

Bloodknife is absolutely correct -- we try to avoid listing full stat lines. But given that Games Workshop released these stat-lines in their run-up to 8th edition, I'll permit it.

But curse words aren't cool, not even when they're self-censored.

Re: My 8th Edition Fluff: A solution to the lack of a new Tau Codex

The indexies ARE half-baked, but its a playable condition. Even though apperantly we shifted half our production facilities from battlesuits to drone considering just how much battlesuits got pricier (and by extend less effective, and so less apperant on the field), while drones cost so little, and...

Re: 8th Edition: The Eye Opens

Well obviously. The Hadex Anomaly was in the Jericho Reach. As soon as I seen the Hadex Anomaly in the DW codex I knew it was about to become much more plot relevant. Both Hadex and the Calixis Sector have had slight nods in previous maps, going back years. For instance, Hadex makes an appearance i...

Re: 8th Edition: The Eye Opens

Doombringer pointed out to me that the bisection roughly parallels the path of the Jericho Maw warp gate, which connects (connected?) the Calixis Sector in Segmentum Obscurus to the Jericho Reach in the Eastern Fringe. A nice coincidence... or not. :crafty:

These are really good! Are those repurposed Hoth base turrets? Even if they are, they're very tau-ish.

Re: Shadow War: Armageddon tactics and warband make up

For those of you actively playing: how have the recon drones worked out for you? They come across as expensive and irreplaceable investments -- to replace one would each up your all of your resupply points and require you cash your promethium cache -- but investments that can really shred exposed en...

Re: Shadow War: Armageddon tactics and warband make up

I agree with Peregrim that a markerlight is more useful on the rail rifle specialist than a photovisor -- assuming you can keep the markerlight spotter alive.

Re: [ATT] Organization Query To Members

While we're discussing tweaking the theme: could you modify the site such that clicking anywhere on the banner takes you to the board index? The link "box" stretches above the "Powered by", but ends at the final 'd' of "Advanced" when moving right. I keep trying to clic...

Re: [WIP] Tael's Shadow War Kill Team

I loved your grim Ion Rifle specialist, but that Naga really takes the cake. Space lizard forever!

What bit are you using for Snax's arm/gun? It has the tau aesthetic, but I'm guessing third party.

Re: Necromunda/shadow war: tau rules

I had the chance to play a few practise games at our local store, in preparation of the campaign, and it's thrown up a lot of food for thought. Markerlights really mess with target priority When shooting you must target the closest model you can see, but you are also permitted to choose a different...

Re: [ATT] Organization Query To Members

Thanks for your feedback, guys! I'm not certain there's any way for members to tailor the Unread threads list to specific forums and sub-forums, Panzer -- but if I discover one, I'll let you know! Tearphoenix , that's a good idea about 3rd-party models. I think we used to have something like that, y...

The B&C army painter pictures must be saved and hosted elsewhere; hotlinking directly to B&C does not work.

[ATT] Organization Query To Members

As all of you can see, we've recently updated the look and layout of ATT. As always, we owe Tael for the artistic and thematic work -- thank you! My question to the membership in general is: how is the re-organization working out? ⋅ Can you find everything you want to? ⋅ Is the n...

Quasi-meta discussion: would posters be interested in ATT creating a subforum specifically dedicated to Shadow Wars/Necromunda?

Re: WIP Shadow War Armageddon Pics...

It matters only for the flair. They are 5+ armor guys with Carbines that look like 4+ armor guys with Tau shotguns. If you can live with that and if it won't confuse your opponents it's totally okay. However as someone who KNOWS the difference it would confuse me a lot if I didn't know you can't us...
