Re: Lostroninsoul's 2k Cadre

I played a 2000 point event over the weekend and only did mediocre. My list was the the pulse drive cannon double stormsurges. I played against altioc and tied in points. The player was slow and I made a slight play mistake by not charging my kroot hound to attack and finish off a single infantry mo...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

We also have that wierd indentation of a rectangle (seen above). Like our crisis commanders also have that indentation on their jetpacks. The wavey parts on top probably connect to another bit( like the sensor part of a stormsurge cannon

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Does anyone else think the new rumor engine pick looks alittle bit Tau? I just Noticed that too! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/02/20/rumour-engine-february-20th-2018/ https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Feb20-RumourEngine1tvg.jpg But T’au don’t have rivet ...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I personally like Haechi. But anything he/she says right now is still a rumor. It's not an official gw release. Not sure what everyone is getting so giddy about. A rumor is still just a rumor. Hypothetically, I can say I have insider GW knowledge. Let reddit and other sources follow me. Oh, internet...

Re: Starting an Army

Thanks for the tips, Lostroninsoul! I wonder if commanders will still be powerful after the new codex, maybe I'll wait on that unit. Also, I thought I'd look for deals on ebay but most people charge even more for models because they already painted them and built them (both of which I would like to...

Re: 1100 point Tournament List, Need help!

Most important things. Get plenty of sleep, stay hydrated and get practice playing your army. I feel that's as important as what you bring to the table. Otherwise you will be more prone to making play mistakes that can cost you games. I'm not sure what models you have available. Commanders are good,...

Re: Second army building- ultramarines 2k points

I was thinking of going black Templars at 1000 points, carrying the terminator models. They have a reroll failed charges which bring them from ~27℅ successful teleport charge to about ~47-49℅ successful charge coming from reserves. I decided it's best for me to go full ultra marines over the black T...

Re: Secondary armies - Can we learn from them?

Tau was my primary army, and then towards the end of 7th i shifted to gsc and nids, id always the idea of nids, but also got a little tired of how easy it was for my tau on the tabletop, i wasn't pickinf a super competitive list, but its amazing what a strong codex and solid tactics can acheive. So...

Re: Starting an Army

Welcome TLDR: if your afraid of drilling though plastic don't worry I been there. I drilled right through end to end sometimes since I used a power drill. You can fix mistakes with "green stuff" if you mess up as bad as I occasionally do. You can also buy a hand drill for about ~$5 bucks o...

Second army building- ultramarines 2k points

Greetings from your friendly neighborhood power gamer. :nice: . I started Warhammer with tau, which was probably good for me. I'm expanding into Space Marines. I am slowly acquiring units for a 2000 Point list. Most of this is in my possession or is shipped. Since I have about 7,000 points of tau ri...

Re: When ATS is crucial.

Ats is one of the most valuable support systems you can take. I take it on any thing that can take a support system. The only time it doesn't have any value is a quad fusion blaster Comander. It's normally less powerful than replacing it with another weapon, but it's often more value points/wound. M...

Re: Sub-Assemblies Priming/Painting etc

I do a bit of mix and match. I prefer subassembly with touch up painting after gluing together. Using poster tact and empty medication bottles is a good painting device to get a good grip on the model parts without smudging your work by handling the piece.

Re: Building/painting models faster

The more you paint, the faster you get at it. I'm a slow painter myself. I thin my paints very thin, but when I'm trying to nail a color quick I paint thicker. A hairdryer helps dry paints on non resin-models (resin warps with heat). I also like to prime in a base color so it's easier to paint. Reme...

Re: Optimal loadout against quantum shielding.

Actually since mortal wounds are single point damage wounds they would bypass it, since they would have to roll under the damage and thus they can't roll less than one no? Yes, they would bypass it. Not sure about destroyer missiles since multiple mortal wounds behave kind of oddly. It's not d3 dam...

Re: Optimal loadout against quantum shielding.

TLDR: Based on the wording of that ability that's giving you trouble, mortal wounds should bypass it. Broadsides and the hammer head can take seeker missles But you would want some markerlights. Railgun +long strike can help the with mortal wound chance if you change the Hammerhead loadout. I also t...

Thank you so much. What load out was your supremcy armour? I only have 2 triaxis ion cannons, the pulse ordnance multidriver, and the heavy Railgun options.
