Re: Sub-Assemblies Priming/Painting etc

Thanks all. My current pathfinders are all glued but I'm using them to test colour schemes anyway, so they'll be stripped later and usually they disassemble after that. I plan on magnetising most of my suits so that'll help. How do you prime little bits like that after? (Most of my Space Marines I d...

Sub-Assemblies Priming/Painting etc

Was just doing some work on my pathfinders and I was wondering if anyone leaves the arms/gun off till later. I've also glued up my Kroot as well but they seem more forgiving thankfully. What do people commonly sub-assemble for ease of painting? And how do you go about priming the little pieces and l...

Re: Vior'la sept - Agrax vs Nuln Oil

Thanks all. Very helpful :)

I've been sitting on my Tau for a very long time (Been a turbulent few months or so) and only recently got around to painting up some pathfinders. Using them to experiment with a few colour schemes.

Vior'la sept - Agrax vs Nuln Oil

Just wondering if anyone has any pictures comparing the two shades on white Vior'la sept armour. Would love to see the difference as I do like the weathered look using Agrax, but would also like to see what Nuln oil looks like.

Re: Ko'Vas' Cadre Units

Usually not keen on purple colour schemes to be honest but this is pretty nice. Pretty unique looking.

All I've ever painted is less than half an Imperial fist army and a couple of minis of my Tau collection so can't offer much CC. I'm a pretty terrible painter :D

Plastic glue for Antennae

Anyone got any tips for gluing on the antennas with plastic glue? Tends to spread and melt some areas around the helmets. Sometimes it covers ok with paint but sometimes it doesn't.

Re: Ke'lshan Cadre and other works

Great stuff man, really like the lenses as well.

I started with red lenses on my Sa'Cea but think green will work better with the blue. Do you know which paints you used for them?

Re: The Fang Spray

I'll probably carry on using chaos black spray primer first then unless I can find a spare model.

The Fang Spray

Got some GW The Fang spray for some of my larger SaCea sept Tau. Does it double up as a primer, ready to go straight onto miniatures?

How'd you get such a good definition on the lines of the drones?

Looks great. Nice to see the original colour scheme.

Very nice. Would love to know more about the lighting effects on the weapon and engines, as well as the battle damage. Looks great.

Any airbrush involved btw?

Re: New Tau Army - Where Next?

Bump. Made a lot of progress with this army since posting. There's been an unexpected (But very welcome) addition over Christmas though in the form of a Riptide. What'd be the best things to drop from the list to fit it in? Assuming you're still using the list we discussed some months back, there a...

Re: Cyclic Ion Blasters

I've not based my suits yet as they came in the old battleforce box and I don't know which bases they need now. I've found some 40mm and 50mm ones for sale, which ones do the XV8's and XV88's go on? (Also need some 32mm for the stealth suits I believe but that's not a big thing) Old XV8s go on 40mm...

Re: Hi. I'm new.

Welcome. Interesting to see you mention NVN, Old Bioware games are great. Baldur Gate 2 is my favourite game ever, easily. Had to have a look at the Geth as I've not played ME. Could definitely be an interesting colour scheme. I think deciding the colours is one of the hardest things about Warhammer...
