Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I'm not going to rate it because that would be too subjective. All I can tell is that I have a massive tournament coming in two months and I'm dropping my Custodes and Thousand Sons list to play T'au instead. Also buy Riptides and a couple Hammerheads (with Ion Cannons) if you don't have them. Awes...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I lost track of this topic for a while, but Arka told me someone dropped a rumour about Gun Drones not having saviour protocols and Rail weapons being the same price. I can tell you both are false. Although there is a small change to saviour protocols. Saviour Protocols being more or less effective...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

So any chance to get some hints tomorrow at the 40k battle on twitch for upcoming T'au Codex? Maybe they field T'au for a reason at that game.. hmm :P Where you saw that T'au will fight tomorrow? https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/02/13/week-warhammer-live-12/ Just had a quick look through pr...

Re: Something I missed on Shield drones

The FNP ability is only for the shield drones. Only use for them is to soak wounds and have a chance at not losing the drone. If you're referring to if the shield drone itself was shot at, yes the drone could take its armor save first followed by the FNP if it fails.

Re: Zadocfish's Conversions/Kitbashes/Gallery

Pinched this idea off you! Really happy with how it turned out. Used the pilot from a Devilfish for upper body and removed his back pack. I used extra FW legs and back pack. I think they are Coldstar fins on the side of a commander chest plate. Thats the barrell of a Rail Rifle for the stand. First ...

That was my thinking too, I really hope so. I just want some sort of leak to come out to confirm this. :::(

Re: The Greater Good is more like the Slightly More Alright these days

What I don't like about BolS (or any other 40k news site for that matter) is that thry don't list their sources. I went to Warhammer Community's site, and nowhere did I find any info saying that the Drukhari are first in line, followed by us. Did I miss a key detail somewhere else? I think it's jus...

I weighed him with the 2 ion cannons and pulse ordinance multi driver using a Thermomix as the scales. :D

Re: Tau Y'vahra model weight.

Ok, KX139 comes in at 0.96kgs about 2.1lbs and Y'vahra weighs 0.13kgs (0.28lbs). It's like comparing peas with oranges. Lol.

Re: Tau Y'vahra model weight.

Why do you need to know this? Because I got a tau supremcy armor. It's heavy. I got a yvahra but it's weight seems a bit off compared to the resin of the supremcy armor, but it otherwise seems real. It's an idea I had to check authenticity because I'm pretty ocd about collecting and it would give m...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Should get +1 to hit rolls if not moved, eyes have time to adjust. Increase in BS is always welcomed. That would go against everything the crisis suits stand for. And tau physiology shouldn't matter that much since technically it is machines that are doing the work of aiming for them and see...

Re: Airbrushing indoors

It's acrylic paint... not much worse than you've already eaten in kindergaten. I spray my base coats now because it's way faster and neater, add highlights and smooth transitions. I use a cardboard box to prevent overspray which is literally very minimal and a latex glove on my left hand. That is it...

Re: Optimal loadout against quantum shielding.

Kill it with a commander. I just had a look at some numbers and believe it would take about 3 turns to kill with this. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm only quite new to using MathHammer, but against a Ghost Ark you're only looking at an average of 3 unsaved wounds. With D3 damage you're now at 6 damag...

Re: Optimal loadout against quantum shielding.

I've go a friend that plays Necrons and he has a Ghost Ark and a Stalker. Both of which have Quantum Shielding and living metal. However, I've got a Y'vahra! The shielding is tough but not invulnerable, just don't hit it with anything that has high damage. The Y'vahra puts out 3 damage on both overc...

No, it only refers to the ability, not the drone as a whole

Yeah, did think this was the case but thought I'd check others opinions. Thanks
