Re: Beerson's M'yen cadre

Thanks, it took about half a bottle of cleaner and some hand cleaning paste as abrasive, really don't wish that frustration of the paint not coming off to anyone :)

Re: Y'vahra head (lost) replacement?

Glad to hear they did, once it is done, don't forget to post project log, or join motivation service post so we can see the goodness, also it helps getting your models done once you start getting lazy/procrastinate about it :)

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

They copied all the stats from 7e and nerfed the points because people were complaining. Just like everything else in our codex :P This is a thing I fear in codex, when the game changed for 8th edition, we didn't, probly gw though "we'll do it in codex", now I fear they don't, and just tw...

Re: Secondary armies - Can we learn from them?

Knowing the game from enemy viewpoint is definitely going to help you with your primary army, if you are picking your secondary army based on what can they teach you, I would go for chaos, theay have it all, hordes of cultists, elite terminators, melee berzerkers, sorcerers etc. But in my opinion ch...

Re: Starting an Army

Welcome to the community! First off, the most important thing, look around for game stores or online retailers who offer discount on the boxes, I use store in neighbouring country which sells everything for about 2/3 of GW webstore's prices and have them ship it to me, I've been told by FLGS owner t...

Alternative Tau Models thread

Hello, this is something I wanted to do for quite some time, and I think something most of Tau hobbyists could benefit from A collection of alternative Tau models, or models that would fit in a Tau army as proxies or possible kitbashes I would like to ask you to post any interesting model that fits ...

Re: does this idea have any merit for railrifle pathfinders?

ah my bad, i was under the conception that in a double sized squad i would be allowed the same ratio of weapon teams in them, my bad :P thanks for the corrections What you describe is actually true for stealth suits, so it's understandable that would confuse some :) But even then, double squad woul...

Re: does this idea have any merit for railrifle pathfinders?

Personaly I think pathifinders are going to be played very often with codex, even though I don't play them myself atm

Re: does this idea have any merit for railrifle pathfinders?

Only 3 per team as Osocruel said, so you would have to take 2 squads of 2 w/ML 3 railrifles With the new stratagem, I would just use more pathfinders instead of droneport, as drones without shield drone are easy to get rid of and you can gain d3 markerlights for 1cp to boost your pathfinders ML hits...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

To sum it up, we want all of our units to be good, just like we want everyone else's units to be good. If everything is good and worthwhile then we have achieved balance. At that point people can experiment with lists they like and try new strategies. Just look at Guard and Nids. They're two relati...

Re: Gun Drones while attached to a Devilfish

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I can't remember where the discussion was. MB3 Recon drone turret mount? Does the rule allow the Recon Drones BC to also fire whilst embarked? Now, I understand embarked units cannot usually fire unless open topped however I question the wording of the ...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

I suppose Admech, all non-Ultra Marines, Custodes, Genestealer Cults, and Sisters of Battle are just niche armies...? which are somehow different from... what? Your argument makes no sense to me, that is to say, I have no clue what point you're trying to make. Of course tournament players play to w...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

Execpt for the fact that we are only better then niche armies, which don't get played much on turnament scene, as most high end tournament player playing those armies will switch to their better alternative, since their goal is to win, and what difference does it make for a tournament player if hes ...

Re: Gun Drones while attached to a Devilfish

1) BS 4+ 2) no 3) no 4) no When attached they are guns mounted on devilfish and act accordingly Also drones never benefit from pulse accelerator drone Thanks everyone. This would seem to suggest that Gun Drones are a strictly better choice than a pair of Burst Cannons on a Hammerhead. Is there any ...

Re: Tau A.I. and engram nuerochips

My idea was to use the engram neurochip as a sort of storage device for dead shas so that even though they have passed, they can live on through the use of Artificial Intelligence ala the Purifier Fenix from SC2 less as a means to create blank A.I. that can be taught from scratch. But upon learning...

In response to Watcher's post: You are looking at AI from very laic point of view, making the AI like us, having the same values and such, but not treating it like a slave but more of a essential part of society, though worker, is one of the safest ways to avoid machine rebellion, as the AI would es...

Re: House stratagem costing advice

I would say 1CP with two squads, 2CP with three squads, or 2CP for second time in a turn, our army isnt that strong for it to be broken paying 1CP to merge two squads of tactical drones is actually pretty costy considering that you can get +d3 markerlights or re-roll on railhead for the same price, ...
