Re: T'au septs from the new Codex maybe leaked?

That all sounds very plausible. And what of Tau Empire allied races that we're to expect as we were told a while ago that Tau are getting "something big". :fear:

Re: Alternate Kroot Hound Ideas

Maybe/hopefully/wishfully they will make much cheaper plastic kroothounds with/after the codex drop along with all the Tau Empire races that we're to expect as we've been told Tau are getting "something big". :fear:

Re: Krosp's Cadre of Starlight Ascending

I would also recommend an old toothbrush or stiff brush and flick stuff on. Test try out on something else first! For muck I find that 2 or 3 passes work well. Imagine the "history" of the muck. There might be old dried muck you can represent by drybrushing it on. Wait for that to dry then...

Re: Krosp's Cadre of Starlight Ascending

Just a suggestion, seeing as your tau are running around in wet/swampy grass it might look good if you were to add some dirt and splashmarks to their feet and lower legs?

The muck would accentuate the clean look of your colourscheme

Excellently dramatic and overblown way to theme your colourscheme a-la Tron ;) I like it...

Also reminds me of SPACE 1999

Re: Converting XV9s to look more "Tau"

I've never been that keen on the XV8's design. The newer version is at least poseable but the suits look so gawky and goofy like the tow truck in the "Cars" films, IMO. I far prefer the XV9's which look like they want to shoot you rather than sing kum-by-yar and toast marshmallows round th...

Re: Ukrainian battlesuits

I'm told they are based in the Ukraine (ie; outside EU law) and money goes to the Cayman isles.

They are certainly ripping off GW Tau, but are great models IMO and better looking than standard XV8's.

Re: 2k Tau vs Imperial Guard

I've noticed the same time element too in the last several games I've played. Most recently using eldar, but the last couple of games with tau mostly got as far as turn 3. And this against different opponents....

Hard to see why.

Is it the shooting or taking time to decide which stratagems to use?

Re: An Appeal for Jump-Shoot-Jump

I started playing 40K in 4th Ed with Eldar. The Crystal Targetting Matrix on the falcon/prism tank allowed it to emerge from out of sight, take a shot, then disappear back out of sight again. Lots of fun if you are the one using it but plain annoying if on the receiving end. The rule was dropped and...

There's nothing on (b) that I can see in the main rulebook or chapter approved.

Odd :-?
