wargames exclusive battle suit review part 1

Hi decided to check out some Wargames exclusive stuff... I brought: A Greater Good Cyclic Battlesuit, Chaser (to use as a Firebalde) & a set of XX-99 Pulse rifles (to perhaps use as sniper rifles?) They took a fair time to come but when they did I was impressed by the quality of the moulded part...

Re: Anvil Industry conversion parts - anyone used them?

Can you blu-tak one to a suit and show us a pic? I will when I get one, was hoping someone else may have and save me the risk of an incompatible purchase, but guess I'll have to be the experimenter - at least they're cheap and there's still time for others who may have found they fit or not to answ...

Anvil Industry conversion parts - anyone used them?

Any one tried to use these heads on crisis suits? Do they fit - look OK?

or this as a weapon? I kind of like the feel of it:

Re: Sniper Teams?

You have gone to a lot of work here and made a nice custom team for your homebrew games but I wonder if the following may have been an easier option: Change Pathfinder wargear option to: Up to three Pathfinders may replace their markerlight and pulse carbine with an ionrifle, rail rifle or longshot ...

Re: Wargames exclusive skimmers should we write some rules?

Reddog do the gun barrels as separates if you wanted to go to town using these and the puppets war wings.

Do feel my original post re Wargames Exclusive skimmer rules has been Shanghaid.

Found an old Skaven project in a tub - time to Aux them.

Hi all title says it all. Here are a few I converted some time back as fantasy skirmishers but now I think they may change allegiance and become Tau Auxillary oUtlaw Scum.

Guess I've found something to do with all those spare pistols.

Re: seated command suit

Still here and working slowly.
Here's the in progress pilot standing on a micro-drone & more development of Enforcer lower leg armour:

Need to sort her head arms and skirt next.

Wargames exclusive skimmers should we write some rules?

Wargames Exclusive make a range of Tau figures in their 'Greater Good' range :nice: which you can find here: https://wargameexclusive.com/product-category/greater-good/ Most of the standing infantry character models can easily be things that already exist in the game but what about the new suits and...

Re: El ZorDacK Cadre

Wow that is incredibly fast and nice work, everything takes me soo long yet you knock out excellent quality figures in next to no time, whilst still complaining of having no spare time for the hobby. Any tips for getting faster? Do you paint some parts before assembly, work in batches doing just one...

Re: seated command suit

A standard firewarrior with an XV15 jump pack and a pulse pistol, is a nice idea but the XV15's pack is pretty bulky. Maybe I could craft a smaller pack, perhaps based on a drone since Ethereals use them as hover drones. Maybe not a backpack but a little PA-drone that can be stood on and provide lim...

Re: seated command suit

Yeah I'm not keen on the ladder either. I tried to make one out of very thin plasticard strips but it was too flimsy. Was thinking about using an OO/HO train ladder but the hooves are too large to fit between the runs, could cut every other one out, that could work and be more solid than a single gr...

Re: Ironsky's desert operations Cadre: Gue'la WIP3

Hi again, the officer with the pistol; his lean is really noticeable on the far right picture of the strip.
For an officer, actually for Tau he seems very laden. Does he need all that kit? Surely there's a drone for that?

Re: Ironsky's desert operations Cadre: Gue'la WIP3

I would make them more Pathfinder as AM-Infantry has the same armour save & similar special weapons rules. I really like the special weapons guy, head is excellently crafted, although the barrel needs sorting, not properly rectangular. The other two look off-balance especially the leaning Gue'ui...

Re: Starting my XV7 Pathfinder support suit.

Because of the way the rules work this model needs a Pathfinder's save & toughness; but it looks like an XV8! Everyone would expect much higher values, so how do I make it look more vulnerable? I'm thinking I will open up the body to expose the pilot like the old Eldar walker - now that's a job ...

Re: Bodies for extra firewarriors/breachers

Another thing, when moulding bigger pieces like torsos, you can fill the middle with part of sprue to make it more solid and save material

Nice suggestion - I'll try this tomorrow, save some polycrete - I have so much sprue in my shed bin its ridiculous.

Never heard of Bluestuff? Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVZLXLaidjQ I am hoping to use mine to make some FW torsos tomorrow will post back here with results. I will be using Polycreate as don't have any Brownstuff. Milliput yellow-grey works well too. You can use green stuff to cra...

Starting my XV7 Pathfinder support suit.

I like suits more than drones. Here's a custom one for my Pathfinders. Kakushi kikai (Hidden machine) forgoes the normal benefits of XV8 weapons, systems & flight capability to provide her pathfinders with all the benefits of a Recon, Grav-inhibitor & Pulse accelerator drone. In addition her...

Re: Options against Heavy Infantry

Can we not kill everything else, steal an objective and hope the time runs out or they flunk a moral check? :P
They do still have to check moral if their friends run away don't they? :fear: Really must buy 8th ed rules sometime. :-?
