Re: Please Listen (specifically Mods)

I am not sure which regulations you would consider excessive. Common Carrier status basically means they have to ignore the traffic going over their network beyond basic traffic management. They can charge what they want, they can offer bandwidth plans how they want, as long as they don't restrict ...

Re: Please Listen (specifically Mods)

US ISPs have one of the weakest infrastructures in the modern world because they left the old copper networks in place for decades, and are basically demanding government funds to replace them with fiber. ...Maybe I hear this wrong somewhere, but haven't some large ISPs already gotten billions from...

Re: Heavy gun drones

Well, I was surprised they even got the to FW index... they stopped selling them a while ago. I'm not even sure they'll get to any new FW publication after that.

Re: Heavy gun drones

a) Yea they can shoot anywhere. (Note that only Gun Drones have the target restriction, not all tactical drones.) b) You can, with how it's worded, the wounded first restriction only concerns wound allocation within the target unit. They're just too expensive for what they do, and they shoot ML at l...

Re: Chapter Approved Leaks Discussion

What they said. It's a common thing for players to whine that their faction is getting squatted when they don't get a new codex right away. We may be low on the totem pole in the meta right now, but that doesn't mean squatting. We'd probably see the loss of the Sisters of Battle or the Dark Eldar b...

It's transitive change, command points are worth more -> therefore having detachment with more command points is more advantageous.

Re: Mortal wounds timing

So quick dice would work as above, you roll all your hits with one gun type, roll all your wounds, oh look 2 mortal wounds, that kills a terminator. Now roll d3 damage twice and try and kill 2 more. Potential for 3 dead terminators. No, you allocate wounds, roll saves, inflict damage and remove mod...

Re: Chapter Approved Leaks Discussion

I don’t own a Ta’unar, but (presuming this is true) in what world is this acceptable for the consumer? They’re invalidating a $300+ investment for everyone who purchased one. I would be so ticked if I spent the money and hours on end assembling and painting it for this to happen. It’s the functiona...

Re: Chapter Approved Leaks Discussion

Alright, it seems the CA is more than anything just a dose of few missions and terrain rules, bringing a bit of new spice to the game, not the gigantic point adjustment/rebalancing of everything we wanted. I'm curious if they release some of the CA content in FAQs, if you'd ignore the missions&t...

So this changes only FW models, normal Hammerheads are still priced the same?

This changes NOTHING, the change already happened in the latest FW FAQ.

Stealthsuits certainly do, but they're probably the single example and it might be debatable if it's a boot or more of a cloth cover with some intelligent cammo. Firewarriors or pathfinders don't and other suits have robotic legs.

Not sure what happened to my last post, but here's this: http://i.4cdn.org/tg/1511568671097.png Not sure what's the source, but it's only FW models, most points do not change from the last FAQ and other points values seem rounded to 100s, it's probably something like a prototype print to see if eve...

Re: XV109 Y'vahra (any feedback?)

OFF-TOPIC: Why do people refer to the Y'vahra as a 'she'? This varies by language, some languages assign a sex to every noun(note that most also have neutral category) regardless of if it could or could not actually reproduce sexually(ie. in czech, a chair is a "she"), and ending with an ...

Re: Can EWO stop drop pods???

Drop pod has one ability, the act of it literally coming in from reserves. The act of the contents disembarking is not a deep strike maneuver and EWO doesn't trigger on disembarks in general. I think that would be defensible if it weren't for the 9" away condition AND the ability forcing the d...

It is when you disembark from drop pod on the turn it arrived(which you couldn't using just normal transport rules), otherwise it's not.

Re: Can EWO stop drop pods???

The better thing is that EWO, as far as I see, can also shoot to units that disembarks transports. Let's say a Tactical squad disembarks from a Rhino. The Tactical squad is being SET-UPed, so a unit with EWO can shoot at them. That's actually really great, especially for heavy infantry armies like ...
