Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

A couple of weeks in to 2018 and already many interesting projects and cool paintjobs posted up here :D Elmo, your tank camo is always something to savour. How do you plan out the camo pattern? In the meantime, I completed the shieldline :) : https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/91/9b/c1/919bc1f1803b137d003be...

Re: Ukrainian battlesuits

Well! there's bit of the R'alai / R'var'na look in there, but don't quite like the chest section... if it was me, I'd kitbash some bits onto the middle section to extend it forward.

Re: An Appeal for Jump-Shoot-Jump

Rather than give it to all/most units as a keyword, I think it would be a good 1 CP strategem for any unit with the Fly keyword. Allow those stealth suits to drop a homing beacon and hop back, for example. It makes choosing to use it more tactical and costly. If it's going to be enacted, my guess b...

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

Elmo, I couldn't view your image... A happy new year to all! This weekend I finished up the Eldar commitments. Autarch, Warlock and as a bonus some swooping hawks! https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/53/13/3a/53133ab59cefb9baa3eafdf27022b0ea.jpg Next targets by end of the month, I'll put down a tidewall dron...

Re: Where would you put a Seeker Missile on an old Broadside?

So basically right behind the raised vent (behind the head) but a little lower down? Yes. I'm assuming no major modifications to the weapons mountings so to me the only reasonable place to affix a missile would be at the back without it looking out of place. Even then, there's not that much space a...

Re: Where would you put a Seeker Missile on an old Broadside?

:? WIthout having to modify the existing model much, I'd say as a vertical launch tube situated between the heatsink/capacitor banks at the back?

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

Lostroninsoul, what slacking? You're the one who has been diligently posting here! :nice: Good work by the way! I really like your posing and colour tone! Myself I've kept myself busy over the year end holidays. While I did not finish my Eldar, I did complete the Tau models that I committed to, and ...

Re: Tau -Overlooked Most OP Army?

I have to point out that the melta rule doesn't kick in on a standard manta strike as it is just out of range (more than 9"), just like how deepstrikers need to roll 9 to successfully charge into combat
Of course, that doesn't take away too much from the effectiveness of a QFC...

Re: What are the statistics of melta guns?

Wow :P I can't believe poeple would go to lengths this great just to try and increase their chances to win in a game largely governed by strategy and RNG :D Ha ha, I would think that understanding the odds was always a part of good strategy! Besides, odds in 40k are relatively easy to calcu...

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

This week's progress, a commander suit: https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/81/bc/68/81bc688b8b4042145b71983e1ecd487e.jpg Discerning eyes will notice that this is actually the fail-*ahem* finecast commander with bits from the new plastic commander, new crisis sprue and also from the old metal commander. This...

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

Looking good, that Stormsurge! My updates for the week: a squad of the rangers done, the rest of the Eldar stuff base coated and washed. Pic here for the Rangers only: https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/4c/7a/57/4c7a570ef0b08e80ecd8577debd56d46.jpg Next I'll probably focus on getting the commander suit up f...

How's it going everyone? Besides the bunch of Eldar I posted about last week, here are the T'au models that I'll be challenging myself to complete too by end of the year: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/e4/59/d3/e459d3e0827acd3cc622e6cab6e124ae.jpg That's a couple of hazards (converted from R'alais), a co...

Wow! Each time I check back on the thread I am inspired by all the great work that's ongoing or completed  Here's my barracuda AX-5-2, more or less done, maybe needing some final touchups. The bottom is just a simple two tone blue, nothing elaborate. https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/5a/e9/a3/5ae9...

Re: Upcoming T'au Codex

If the Faction rules for the T'au Empire come in Chapter Approved as rumoured, would that affect the release date of an upcoming codex for us?
