Re: Alternative Krootox models

Nice converting! Did you have to modify the legs at all to make them fit on the saddle?

Re: Alternative Krootox models

Thanks for all the ideas! I think Cold Ones might be the most cost-effective option that still looks relatively "Kroot-y". I might end up using Wargs as Kroot Hounds too!

Re: Who are your allies?

Not sure, but I think this belongs in the Upper Concourse? On-topic, I'm thinking of taking some Imperial Guard as Gue'Vesa members of the Tau Empire. You can fit a lot of troops into one choice with the IG Infantry Platoon, and squadrons of vehicles are only one choice. I think Autocannon Heavy Wea...

Re: Alternative Krootox models

LoTR scale is smaller than 40k. Wargs are a little larger than kroot hounds. I forgot about that... perhaps I'll end up using Wargs as Kroot Hounds then? I've been working on (seems like forever now ) a looted and stripped down IG Sentinel, suitably Krootified. I'm using the gun and the top half of...

Alternative Krootox models

Does anyone have any ideas/examples of alternative Krootox models? £15.50 for one model is just ridiculous.... damn GW price hikes.

Getting back into 40k/Tau

Ok, I wasn't sure where to post this. I understand there's no longer an Off-Topic section and that's no longer wanted here, but I wanted ATT's insight into this. When I went live with my aunt I stopped playing 40k, for various reasons, but mainly because of cost and the reason I moved to my aunt's w...

Re: Fluff question regarding Aspect Warriors

Well, actually no. It doesn't matter how many lungs, hearts, etc. you have, if the Banshee slices your head off. :P I would seriously vouch for a Howling Banshee to beat a Space Marine. If she just uses the Banshee mask to confuse him at the right time, then it would be fairly easy to simply send th...

No, I get it now. I saw you show work in progress pictures earlier, and I kind of understood it. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Permission to pinch it? :P

Re: Voir'la cadre by KoboldArt

I do like the Fire Warriors, but I think the bonding knife and the bases at least deserve more attention. I like the XV82; I'm curious as to how you made the head? And if you told would I have permission to 'borrow' the idea? Please? :P

Re: 20 days until GD!!! ::-GD BLOG-::

I got either Mara or Nara for the shield. It's confused me.
I like the blending colours on the armour. I know its WIP, but if your revisiting the shield, I'd say some lighting effect would look nice if you could pull it off. It's hard to critique the model cos its WIP and so darn good.

Re: Warhound's Cadre: colours scheme advice?

Hey Warhound,
I sent some PMs but I think they failed to send,
I was wondering if it was OK for me to use your old colour scheme? The black and orange one?
Just checking, because I don't want to steal your scheme, but since your not using it any more I thought I'd ask.
Thanks,
Lightning

Re: Warhound's Cadre: colours scheme advice?

I'd say the last of your new four.
I like the first though; I've seen it used before and it was really good, so I'm torn between those two schemes :P.

Re: You know you play too much Warhammer when you...

It'd seem only fair. And failing that, I may have to fashion you some sort of trophy for being the most literate 11-year-old on the internet. It will probably contain dead Tyranids and some wood elves, because I found an old bag of them from when I was playing the game before you were born... Wahoo...

That's almost twice as long as I've been alive! I'm 11, 12 in January!
Do I get an award for youngest 'Saal then?
