Re: 3D print extra parts: Stormsurge, Riptide, Piranha, ...

You can maybe use the left shoulder missile supports for the seekers: use the missile half ball joint from the "mitten", glue it under the seeker assembled to have a 2x2 seeker array and put them on the left missile shoulder support (the right is obvioulsy not used to made way to the main...

Re: 3D print extra parts: Stormsurge, Riptide, Piranha, ...

The other day, I ordered a set of the Missile Pod fitting arms and two sets of the cockpit over (my mate wanted one too) whilst Shapeways have their free global shipping deal on. Already been posted out after just 3 days!!! Cannot wait to get them as I have a brand new Stormsurge sat in box waiting ...

Re: [3D] 3D printable parts

I am hugely late to this party but hoping theres room for one more. The arms are a genius idea and having seen them in action on other threads I am sold on them. But I would want to get the Shoulder Mounts for the missile pods as I have seen else where. Are they available too or is it just the arms?

Re: Tau'shan Cadre WIP

Nice use of that random objective marker that comes with the plastic XV25s.

That works nicely, and its one of only 3 good uses I have seen for that piece.

Good thinking!

Re: Sleeker, more aggressive Monat Pirhana conversion

Excuse the OT continuation but... ...I love the idea of the Tetra, and have no issue with it being 2 man. I just feel the FW Tetra looks too lumpy and too unlike the Piranha. But I like building all my stuff to look as if its all based arounf a few set chassis - ala STCs for the Imperium almost - sa...

Re: Modelling Stimulant Injectors

Daft idea, but worked nicely as Fletchee Dischargers for RMyrs, could fit for stim injector. Use Tau FW grenade packs, only where I cut them into seperate cyclinders and mounted them in armour creavsses, you could mount them whole, glued so that they sit right on an edge, and mould some little wires...

Re: Sleeker, more aggressive Monat Pirhana conversion

I gotta be honest, whilst I LOVE the work, and in no way fault it as it looks sweet and clean, well built and thought out, I reckin this screams Tetra.... I don't know what it is, but the smaller frontal profile and the array on the back just make me think Tetra as soon as I look at it... But great ...

Re: NEW FARSIGHT!! GDUK'08

I gotta say, even if we get new ones, I am sticking to my current XV8 boys. don't get me wrong, they do look sweet, however, price ignored as thats always an issue when replacing minis, I have worked hard on the conversions, paint schemes and fluff behind them all, and it wouldn't do to change it al...

Re: Flechette Discharger

I always figured it worked like attacks back, so only those close models within 1" would be affected, so unless an ork was so unlucky as to be jammed up in the midst of three, they only take one hit as only within fletche cloud of one. If unlucky sandwhiched, then hit as many times as Piranhas ...

Re: Tau Air Support

Rear hatches?

No, they are made with the turret base for a Skyray.

Most of the components, bar maybe one, are from Skyray and Hammerehead Weapon Sprues.

Re: Flechette Discharger

Re: Piranhas, it's a tough call. Are they attacking each of the 5 Piranhas, or are they attacking one unit of 5 Piranhas? Interpreted one way, and 1 flechette discharger protects the entire squad just as well as 5. Interpreted the other, you roll 5x for each model attacking. You treat it as seperat...

SM and Imperium will get something in every IOA booka sits always Imperium vs the race the IA is meant to be focusing on. Now for more stuff across the board, we need IA to start doing xeno vs xeno, but for every xeno player, there are 4 Imperium players, so if you do xeno vs xeno, you get two peopl...
