Re: List building and commander loadout. Need advice.

I would point out there are a number of threads about magnetizing suits that may help you. It's not as hard as it may look at first; my biggest problem is keeping the magnets oriented the same way. If you start, I would suggest magnetizing the flight stands for your suits and drones; it makes them e...

Re: List building and commander loadout. Need advice.

If you plan for an OSC, you'll want another 3 stealth suits. Similarly, for a Hunter cadre I believe you'll need a "Heavy choice" (XV-88/Stormsurge/Hammerhead/Sniper Drones) Making a "non competitive list" is a bit harder, since it really depends on skill levels and what your opp...

Re: Necromunda/shadow war: tau rules

5-9 is almost a 50% of getting a skill... that means you'll probably get a skill more often than anything else.

Actually it works out closer to 67%; 24 chances out of 36 on a 2d6 spread.

Re: Glue - plastic & magnets question

Personally I've really become fond of Gorilla superglue. It seems a little more shock resistant than other superglues I've used. I have found that while superglues will hold magnets they lose their grip after a couple of years and have to be redone. For a really good stick I'll use JB weld epoxy (wh...

Re: Ynnari rules discussion

That's actually debatable; the rule reads "whenever a unit is completely destroyed within 7" ...pick one of those units to make a soulburst action" The word immediately does not apply until the soulburst action is chosen. Therefore it would be reasonable to assume that the actions cau...

Re: Tips on anti-armour list?

A couple of questions; are the Veterans meched up or foot mobile? How many Veterans (I'm guessing 2 squads?) Are you built as an actual hunter cadre (formation) or a CAD? Overall Panzer gave a good assessment, though I disagree on a couple of points ( I find steathsuit teams pretty effective), so ju...

Re: Grim Skull / Wargame Exclusive GREATER GOOD PANAQUE THREE-DRONE SKIMMER

How does the size compare with a Tetra or a Piranha?
I'm thinking if you put a BC or FB on the front drone, it might make a reasonable approximation for a piranha, or possibly get a 2 drone version and a gun bike and put them on the same base as a "counts as"

Re: XV111 Commander Riptide suit

That is a very nice conversion! I've done the central backpack, and think it looks better than the standard, but this takes it to a whole new level! If I'm looking at it right, you used Piranha engines to replace the side torso sections, mashed up the guns from a 107 and a 109 with one of Paulsons t...
