Re: The return of the Darklighter [WIP update 10/03/17]

Cheers man. I keep meaning to go back and touch up the skin, but as I have signed off in my head I keep avoiding it... I'm almost done a with a few tanks for my BA's... Then I'll have about 30 Terminators to work my way through after that.

Re: The return of the Darklighter [WIP update 10/03/17]

I finally got around to painting a few editions I got for Christmas. I may go back in and work on the flesh tones a bit more They don't show up well on camera and are a bit darker than my usual.... I'm not sure that matters but the fact they look so bad on camera is upsetting me! http://i457.photobu...

Re: A'kish Research Defence Initiative (Project Log)

Lol I get paranoid about decals I use micro set/sol on all mine, over a gloss coat, then sealed in with more gloss, followed with a matt coats to tie it all in... It's also why my current Tau are all free hand it just seemed like less work, lol. :D

Re: Babies First Army: And you can too!

The purple dry brush on the ethereal looks like a nebula pattern from the front... Very mystical. I also feel your pain, it takes me longer to workout what colours (and placements of them) I'm going to use then it does to actually finish the unit!

Re: Glue - plastic & magnets question

Wow you guys are really over complicating things. I find a drill bit that matched the size of the magnet make a hole with it by hand (because I'm an animal) then add super glue wait for it to set... lightly sand away any over spill. If you need to the magnet to be hidden dill a touch deeper then cov...

Re: Babies First Army: And you can too!

My worst spill if you can call it that was with an old red ink. I'd just finished redecorating my bedroom when I lived with my parents, pristine white walls. I just opened the red ink for the first time ever to use on some BA's and when finished I with one finger attempted to close the lid. I presse...

They are very nice man the tufts on the bases really set them off. That devilfish is sublime I even like the wet mud... But that visor in that purple is something special! I look forward to following your progress. I've no idea how you are getting that "shell" pattern so smooth. It really ...

Re: The return of the Darklighter [WIP update 22/11/16]

Ok managed to not get distracted and get the Ork team done... Lots of new things tried out here I used the FW weathering powders (the two rust ones) as a paint by mixing in acrylic thinners and matt varnish then smattering on dry pigments over the wet paint to ad texture. I'm not sure the final resu...

Re: [Project] Stuff from the Forge

To be fair I'm thinking of pinching this idea I'd already put Big Shas in a Breacher squad but I've not made my newly acquired models yet so I've not given them much thought until now.
