Re: Kakapo's Cadre Redux

Kakapo42 so that's where you've been? Wondered what you were up too. Wow, now I feel quite inadequate in the painting department! :-( Funnily enough I often feel somewhat inadequate myself when it comes to painting. All too often I will look through a project thread on here and think to myself &quo...

Re: Shadow Wars: Rules Feedback and FAQ

[list=1][*] Pathfinder teams are expected to suffer high attrition rates whilst performing vital work for the Greater Good. Ultimately, the list ought to represent a plucky team operating largely on daring, against terrible odds. [*] Tau combat doctrine does not generally support individualism (tho...

Re: Shadow War: Armageddon tactics and warband make up

Just a quick recommendation from one of your friendly neighbourhood mods, I would advise that everyone takes care not to get too off-topic here. This is intended to be a thread for Tau tactics and possible warband setups in Shadow War: Armageddon, and while pointing out flaws in the Tau list is usef...

Re: If I own Kauyon, do I need the Tau Codex?

The Tau rules in Kau'yon are essentially an add-on to the 6th edition codex to bring it in line with the 7th edition one. It contains all the extra stuff in the 7th edition codex that is missing in the 6th edition book, thus allowing people who already own a copy of the 6th edition codex to simply b...

Re: [WIP] Jemini's Ke'lshan Pathfinder Kill Team

I feel Tau fall into the same category, a dedicated caste that only train in war. Running out of Ammo? Considering there are hundreds of rounds in every pellet canister - doesnt sit well. I'm personally more concerned with Tau weapons jamming. A pulse weapon is essentially just a plasma-firing coil...

Re: How it used to be (Sharing the hobby)

Honestly with the recent shenanigans I've had to put up with on photobucket the last time I tried to upload model photos I think I might actually prefer the old system of physical film development over it. :P There is of course two sides to every story. While it may have been more tedious to share w...

Re: Jemini's Ke'lshan Pathfinder Kill Team

Personally I'd stick with the dark undersuit colour myself, it gives a good contrast with the teal armour and fits in a little better with the more urban basing scheme. Might I ask what process you used for it? If it's appearing too dark regardless of lighting then you may not have done enough to hi...

Re: Farisght: Crisis of Faith - New Farsight novel in july

And then there is the damage it does to the community as everyone here tries to barrel roll through the nonsense and try to help it make sense... Why the heck did he ruin the Enclaves so completely again? Now now Calmsword, that's hardly fair on the poor writer. Between Blood Oath and the Etheral c...

Re: Farisght: Crisis of Faith - New Farsight novel in july

The Enemy of The Empire strikes again. Is it wrong that I'm more eager to read Doombringer's review of this upcoming book than the novel itself? I'd talk about what I expect from this book, but it'd be more or less repeating statements from elsewhere, and I'm trying to cut back on ranting about the ...

Re: [April, 2017 - MAIN THREAD] The Holographic Principle

http://www.advancedtautactica.com/resource/att_april1_bgnd.jpg Thus Ends the 2017 Advanced Tau Tactica April 1st battle. Tyrioq is dead and the Eldar have been defeated, retreating from the planet through the webway. The Pillars of Vaul have been destroyed, and the ruins of the Eldar stronghold now...
