Re: Glue - plastic & magnets question

Cyanoacrylate is the most useful glue for its quickiness and strong bond in most case. Can be tricky to glue if too fast (gel cyanoacrylate is better for its repositionning ability) PVA glue or neoprene glue could do the job if the magnet is in a more loose fit in a pit. Plastic glue (cement) don't ...

Re: So... about Longstrike

I can imagine a reason that's blend a-b-c : communication errors, battle reports incorrect, propaganda: The new Railgun Tigershark was dubbed "Longstrike" by its crew/engeeners (or it is the codename of the test flight). When it brought down the Titan, another "Longstrike" nickna...

Re: [WIP] El'mos return to the Greater Good - Stormsurge

Thanks for your inputs. The dorsal missile support trapezoidal tab was initially 1 mm misaligned on my prototype, and I tweaked it a little, but without reprinting the model (because it was a part that can be sanded if the fitting wasn't perfect anyway). So this is a minor tweak to add to my to-do l...

Re: [WIP] El'mos return to the Greater Good - Stormsurge

Hello ! Nice to see my 3D printed parts in the building process rather than a finished model. Can I link this post to my item pages ( project log model review and 3D printed resources ) here on ATT ? As I see some yellow filler on it, do the parts needed some adjustments or improvements ? I am waiti...

Re: 3D print extra parts: Stormsurge, Riptide, Piranha, ...

Quick update on my spare free time: I decided to open the 3D printed Caste symbols for open Beta. My own protoypes sits in my bitz box, because I lack time to test them on the battlesuits and vehicles and post decent pics. So if you order some, please give your inputs to help me refine them. The fea...

Re: Mod parts (tabards)

Something so simple could be done in greenstuff. You roll a rectangular patch flat, wait for some time to cure itself a little (till it is not too stiff and not too sticky) and wrap it along the legs as you want. Then you let it cure fully, remove it (add some scratches and holes if you want it batt...

Re: (Opinion) The Stormsurge Mini

The "no-arm" feature make it a very original mini. That we all agree. Strange IMHO, but some could see it nice. The complete front torso is also a design fail, with more round shapes than every Tau battlesuit (design-wise it is closer to vehicles shapes). It may look fine on its own, but n...

Re: (Opinion) The Stormsurge Mini

The opinion you shared were a first-hour one for many Tau players (and more). Missiles are not that silly: they don't need much energy so it allow the big gun to be fired at will with a (relatively) small powerplant. So you have a reliable secondary weapon array. Battlesuit ankles and feet stability...
