Re: [updated] Ka'nite sept Fire Warriors

Well Photobucket doesn't let you do third party hosting. If the images were there, they're not there now. :dead:

Re: Onmyou's Motivation Service

Dear Tau'fann this isn't what I was suppose to be working on, but it needed to get done. I had to finish painting a Sternguard drop pod for my son's Raven Guard army. Photographing the model was a bigger chore than painting it! Kept having to change the back grounds, the lighting (built a ...

Re: Thallax Cohort compared to Crisis Battlesuit ?

I have to second leo1925 on this one.

What do you want to do? IAre they human-made crisis suits or tau-made-for-gue'vesa suits? Either way you went you could create the stat line to match whatever you wanted. Personally, I would use a crisis suit stat line and model them however I wanted to.

Re: Onmyou's motivation service

DO NOT second guess your self! IMHO coloured bases are just fine, especially since painting it black just looks like you didn't paint them at all. Shows how you took a little extra step. ;) All mine and my sons' armies have painted bases. For my Ork army each mob has a different coloured base so I t...

Re: Modeling Tau Females - a discussion

Tau'fann - I knew there was an article where there was conversion of human and other heads to make Tau heads. What I forgot was was that it was here on the A.T.T. forum, but from 2009. In the thread PidGinRat talks about how he converted other GW heads to Tau heads. Tau Swamp Fighters- PidGinRat's T...

Re: Has there ever been an attack on the Tau homeworld?

Ignoring the title for a moment, as we're not really discussing whether the ethereals are "good" or "evil" here, but rather how they might have come to be, this video brings up the interesting notion that another alien races DNA may have been borrowed. Harkus959 it would be best...

Re: Has there ever been an attack on the Tau homeworld?

Tau'fann- Something else to remember: whereas the average Tau lifespan is about 80 years of age, the Ethereal caste live for centuries, possibly as long as a thousand years. This has never been explained, but would again point to a possible Eldar-Tau connection, as Eldar live well over 5,000+ years....

Re: Do Pulse weapons shoot bullets?

szeszej Here is the link from the Warhammer40K wiki: Pulse Rifle . Basically a particle is accelerated down the barrel being turned into plasma by electromagnetic induction. It's the same for all pulse weapons. FYI one of the things they assert is that there is considerable recoil when firing the we...

Damn all I can see is a Riptide pilot getting an error message on his UI now like an old windows PC The Tau Empire uses Windows XP? I thought the earth caste IT department installed Linux? No, no wait, that was in the Farsight Enclaves where the earth caste installed Linux. My bad! TauMan

Then I though, surely there must be more like me! So here is my proposal, anyone who needs some motivation, pick a project and join me in racing the deadline! If I actually meet the deadline I will do more of them and try to get as much of my models done as I can. So here is what I agreed on to pai...

Re: A Broken Sword may still cut: Discussion on ways to use 'Broken' Units in 8e

So the trick to making Riptides better is reducing enemy fuel stockpiles, disrupting manufacturing, and increasing pilots' in-cockpit training hours? :D No, the trick is to use the superior dive rate of the Riptide to get away from the Imperial Knights in a dog fight. Never try to follow an Imperia...

Re: A Broken Sword may still cut: Discussion on ways to use 'Broken' Units in 8e

Vio'ra Mal'caor - Hey don't beat yourself up about this! It was a great idea, and in the meantime till our codex comes out, see if you can come up some "stop gap" tactics! History is full of similar situations: The Japanese Mitsubishi A6M fighter plane, a.k.a. Zero, totally outclassed the ...
