When it comes to crisis suits the best theory is to pick a role for the suits and equip them accordingly. Missile Pod suits have decent firepower, but their defining trait is range. My recommendation is to kill every unit within 12" of him.

Let this guy wreck stuff one unit at a time. It's the buffs he gives other units that threaten the army.

My concern, if I read this right, is that it may allow a unit to win combat, destroy the opposing unit, then immediately charge another unit.

Please let me know if I am missing something in the way this rule works.

Most of the answer is in your post already.

The Thrust Move is trreated as an alternative to charging.

Hit and Run occurs after charges are resolved, so there is no opportunity to charge.

If there is no opportunity to charge, there is no opportunity to thrust move.
