Re: 8th edition battle report Tau vs Ultramarine 50 power ratings

Re: Welcome to the T'au Empire, no longer Tau

Re: The run to 8th edition

Frankly, let's all get some games in, and then maybe wait for the real codex/battletome/big ol' Tau book to come in before making ranking judgements.

EDIT:Hell, I remember people calling doom and gloom over the 6th ed codex...

Vio'ra Mal'caor wrote:Oh. I thought from the rules it worked like deepstrike. Can't the people at GW write a gaming manual to the same standards as Wizards of the Coast???

Given that they are spelled out as very differently, I'm not sure that's the problem here.

Re: Has Tau deepstike hit the deck???

I meant that pathfinders have the scout rule which is a sort of deepstriking. Or has that been removed??? That was basically a free move, not really like deepstriking... You said' was'. So it's been removed??? It worked, er, absolutely nothing like deep strike. No scatter, you can only start from o...

Re: The run to 8th edition

They just got a new one in 2015. So that seems almost impossible unless its a sprue insert. I think if crisis are bad the only thing we can hope for is GW introduces the successor platform. Wasn't that just the 2001 kit with a few extra bits? No, they gained an actual waist section, and every other...

Re: The run to 8th edition

Dark Eldar rules leaks in. More ways to debuff our BS on certain units. Venoms can give us -1 to BS when shooting at them and they still have a fnp thing from flicker fields. The IoM has massive amounts of vehicles with smoke launchers that debuff BS. Venom's are cheap enough to spam in the DE dex ...
