Re: Babies First Army: And you can too!

They look great! I really like the scheme you have chosen. I think Tau look really good in grays and whites with cool colors. As for the grass tufts, you could consider tufts that mix a bit of tan and green, but overall I don't think the green tufts look out of place at all. Basing is my favorite pa...

Re: Demorte's Tau Cadre - Project Log

I really like how you built up the bases on the Tetras and hid the flight stem. Gives them a great appearance of barely skimming the surface, which is how I imagine them moving across the field of battle.

Re: Tearphoenix's Project Log

Hounds and Tetras, man after my own hobbyist heart. I have a pack of the older metal versions - yet to see paint. I know, I'm terrible. How goes this project so far? Tetras are one of my longstanding favorites, almost as much as the first Hammerhead box art that first drew me in to Tau. Sadly, not ...

Re: Tearphoenix's Project Log

I had somehow missed your WIP shots of the Moray. Really good work, and one of my favourite entries! I had been wondering how it all went together... Really like the additional thrusters on the Riptide legs as well, are they XV25 jet packs? Looking forward to updates on the Hounds and Tetras. Thank...

Re: Tearphoenix's Project Log

Minor update, cleaned up the 3 hounds and the tetras. I realized I left my files and sanding tools at home :'(, so I have some major mold lines to fix on the tetras when I get home. Lighting has been terrible at the house, but still snapped a few quick pictures. https://c4.staticflickr.com/1/723/312...

Re: Demorte's Tau Cadre - Project Log

The Clays I use is a Air dray Clay or a Slow Drying clay. This clay works a lot like poster board puddy texture wise. Its like two bucks at hobby lobby marketed for kids. I like the slow drying cause it allows for me to mount and to press things in even after I apply the pva. This helps for when I ...

Re: Tearphoenix's Project Log

Finally! An update, albeit a small one. Got some hobby related presents this year (both from relatives and from myself ;) ) and I am planning to get some work done on them during my vacation time. I will be visiting family, but I often have quite a bit of downtime, so I have packed the necessary too...

Re: Demorte's Tau Cadre - Project Log

Nice update. Those bases are looking great. Are you using a generic oven dried clay to bulk up the ground work or is that something else?

I can't wait to see those Riptides painted!

Re: Arrow's Fio Log: Building the Arrow Pattern XV8

Great article! I have been eying some various shape ways parts for conversions lately, so thank you for taking the time to put this together.

I think this would be one worth making a sticky somewhere.
Not a bad idea.

Love watching your progress on here. Your scheme is beautiful and well executed. I am certainly envious of how quickly you are churning out this quality work.
