Re: How come Tau don't have Jetbikes?

I would enter that Tetras are basically Jetbikes in most respects. They may not the same rules wise but what they are is essentially a jetbike.

Re: Tau and Magnets - My Experiments on Crisis Suits

That's a good point, I knew I have bought different grades before but I'm not sure what these ones were.

Re: Tau and Magnets - My Experiments on Crisis Suits

The rotation is non existent with these magnets. You can actually hear a sharp 'click' on the video as the weapon snaps onto the model. I ran into the same issue you did when I did marine backpacks/jumppacks so I moved up to these 1/8" magnets. I used full 1" magnets on my warhound before ...

Re: Tau and Magnets - My Experiments on Crisis Suits

Are you declaring a Magnet War! The battle shall be brought!! Back to the suits, I didn't really want moveable arms and legs, as I've tried that before and unless you do 2 magnets per join the limb inevitably has a spinny effect which I dislike (found that from doing dreadnought arms). KjMagnetics i...

Re: Tau and Magnets - My Experiments on Crisis Suits

You've done a very tidy job with your magnetising there. I know my first few attempts resulted in some rather wonky weapon mounts (maybe that explains all my 1's and 2's to hit?) Do you intend to do your whole Army with magnets or just the few units you've done so far? My experience with my magneti...

Tau and Magnets - My Experiments on Crisis Suits

I have recently restarted Tau after a very long break from them. Since coming back i have noticed the prices on GW models has...ahem.....

Re: Persifal's Fal'Shia sept WIP

First of all, to your painting, I am blown away by your neatness and attention to detail! The highlights are very crisp and makes the paintjob look incredibly professional. Your colour choice is also quite striking as either colour does not overpower the other. Secondly, to your crisis suits. Nicely...

Darn this post for being 1 day too late!

You could always start slapping a few odds and ends on the (formerly) Imperial one and have an ADL ready to go for ork scenery/army!

Re: A Question for All Photographers Out There

Thank you both for the advice. I will pick up some new bulbs for my lamps. I am using daylight bulbs currently (love painting with them) but I'm not sure of their quality. The grey card sounds like an interesting idea, so my next trip into the city I'll grab one for sure. For fun I will look into th...

A Question for All Photographers Out There

Hello everyone, I have asked before on other forums, and the responses were underwhelming, no one bothered actually reading my problem, just told me to use a lightbox and learn to take better pictures... Sigh... Sorry, small rant aside, here is my conundrum! I can't properly photograph purple with e...

Re: The start of my tau army.

I would have never thought to try chrome on a Fire Warrior. The results speak for themselves I believe, but i will say i like it a lot. The subtle additions you painted really cathc the eye after you get past the chrome, such as the blue on the face, backpack and gun. I have used chrome (spray paint...

Re: Joyous_Oblivion

Thanks kindly for the heads up. I was careful to say I am with someone who supports the hobby now. My ex-wife actually hated the hobby...hard to cope with someone when she despises your favourite pastime, and for no other reason than it was too nerdy... Your careful wording was noted when I replied ...
