Re: Paulson's Armory

Oh yeah, I'd use them as shoulder mounted replacements for the HYMPs on my XV88s.

Re: Beginner Tactics

When I and my friend started playing we both didn't know what we would get next. And we both don't have the budget to buy things we wont need :D We tried different tactics and used replacements for models we didnt have already. I built a sweet razorshark out of cardboard (and now I know I don't real...

Re: Vior'la Sept retaliation cadre WIP

Tau armies don't define their membership by their Armor. They adapt to their surroundings, camouflage and change their visuals depending on the location where they act. Only their sept markings show their origin. And how to use which colors are defined in the Codex. Anyway and I might be wrong but s...

Re: new person Tactics

What does it mean I wont be satisfied with the constellation? And why not more drones? I have 16 of them in my army. I was just referencing to the minimum you need :) You have a lack of Markerlight support. Tau are mediochre on their own. We have strong weapons with large range but our soldiers hav...

Re: new person Tactics

You have the minimum you need for a Hunter Contingent. Make one Crisis Suit a Commander, take 4 Drones as a unit to fill your Hunter Cadre and then take another 4 Drones as another unit, call them a Drone Network and declare them as your auxiliaries. Done. You wont be happy with that constellation, ...

Re: Ethereal conversion to Tau rogue

All Tau need more robes/mantles! :D

As long as you work on it: The Symbol on the chest stands for the ethereal caste. Maybe you want to change it too?

Re: Sho´Yuken´s Army

Nice and clean work. For my taste too much shading on the infantry, but that's just my taste.

It might be the perspective but did you forget to highlight the clothing parts on the Fireblade?

Re: [Formation] Ethereal Honour Guard and melee

Just for the archives:

In my local gamestore redeploying is not counted as moving so this rule can be used to get out of combat, if possible.
But the chances are rare.

Re: Tidewall & Locked in combat

I'd say it's pretty simple: Rulebook says Units that are locked in combat cannot move in the Movement phase, Run or shoot in the Shooting phase, and cannot fire Overwatch if charged. Moving away the Tidewall would be movement of the units. I want to emphazise the word movement . There's another rule...

Next step: Fully movable Firewarrior actionfigures! :D

Magnets are Tau best friends. And pretty clever how you managed it. Are the arms wobbly or do they stay still?

Re: 1250 Tau Hunter Cadre

I see what you did there concerning the small Pathfinder unit and it's Railrifles. I Like that. Last sunday I played 1250 points Hunter Cadre against a Blood Angel and I fielded 2 Pathfinder Units; 6x Pulse Carbine 3x Railrifle + 1 Shas'ui You'd be surprised how well both Teams acted together. Someh...

Re: Magnetising New Tau Crisis Suit Models With Block Magnets

That's what I did to my suits. I always was afraid of using 2 magnets for one weapon and then getting confused which polarities they had...for each arm and weapon. Btw, I did the same for the shoulder mounts (especially on my XV88s). I like WYSIWYG (=What You See Is What You Get). "Does your Me...

Re: Keep order for the greater Good

I use the screw and dowel box from that blue-yellow swedish furnite seller. White case, transparent cover, orange inlay (that's my army's colour scheme :D) and 9 compartments. 5€ per Box (includes screws and dowels). But for my bits at home I use this . Sorry for it being in german, but the pictures...
