Checking in on the status of Forgeworld Hammerhead variants

As the title says. I know there was some correspondence from Forgeworld about the points issue with the Forgeworld variants of the Hammerhead. What's the status of some questions about those variants?

1. Has Forgeworld offered any further clarification about the obviously too-high points cost for the Hammerhead?

2. Is there possibly a Forgeworld FAQ on the horizon that could help us here?

3. Longstrike still can't buff the Hammerhead variants, right?

4. Are the actual Forgeworld models for the Hammerhead variant turrets gone for good?

1. Yes. They've sent forth an e-mail to one person asking stuff that those prices already have the stock weapon accounted for - which means their 'chassis' cost the same of GW's HH

2. They'll publish one next week, IIRC

3. We don't know. RAW he can't, as they have different names and keywords, but it doesn't make sense in RAI for not working

4. Looks like it. They're discontinuing Orcas, Technical Drones and Heavy Gun Drones.

1. Clarification: The costs don't add up if the point costs included in the index include all weapons in the price.

They could add up for ONE of the variants (the non-HYMP variant) IF that variant started with a different weapon by default and it didn't include the cost of secondary weapons/drones. The HYMP variant just don't add up, if you're including both the price of the weapon systems and the full Hammerhead Chassis price.

What that translates to is that either (1) Forgeworld messed up when adding up its weapon options (requires incredible levels of incompetence) or (2) Forgeworld intended for the alternative weapon options to have a different cost for the Hammerhead basic chassis all along, and merely made a mistake in which non-basic-chassis-cost to use (the one with the weapons included, and the one without).

Well, it's FW. Can't expect much precision with them, can we? :dead:
