Medusa V: Closing Impressions

[[[ Well, as you all know, Medusa V dies in a mere few hours. 2Days; 9hrs:59mins from now. Most smart au are already off the planet, and awaiting for Warp out once we know all ships are loaded. It has been hard fighting, but we have pretty much secured what we came for,,,at a steep price. So, we may actually have the faster drives in the future to launch into other campaigns in the future.

The Orks still have yet to show signs of leaving.

Chaos and the Marines are still fighting over the aetherion towers. Ygethmor may very well not become a DP.

The IG players are now posting about evacuating, a bit all at the last moment.

Necrons have been so lagging as to make one wonder if the shield will ever be raised.

Tyranids likely to leave if they are smart., More likely to be caughgt in the mess.

DE are still fighting amongst themselves

Eldar are hoping for a last minute save by closing the gate with ghost warriors.

so, we must now await the final weeks Vox-Caster for the results, and then they promise an after math report.

So, we have basically secured our goals, we can celebrate on the ships as we return home.

So, the Tau have not won the campaign, but still completed our objective? That's strange. Or is it the top 4 that complete their objectives, without conflict (I.E. Chaos + SM).

[[[ Well, we are 6th overall, but we went green the past two weeks
the whole system they are using is very confusing. But per the reports we seem to have secured things well.

I've been reading the reports, and things about this campaign in other forums. Looks like GW is using both the results of the combats and metagaming on the battle reports to shape the course of the campaign (like the Tau literally dropping the Hammer in the Imperials). Sounds interesting. Confusing, yes, just as the 40K rules are, but very interesting.

Well, give yourselves a pat on the back people. Rigged or not we still have warp travel. Now to see how many Tau GW will kill before we get it right. :fear:

Yay for us!!!

We are the Boys!

Mess with us at your peril!

*hesitates*

*shows worried expression on face* (can Tau do that?)

"oh heck! The Ethereal's been shot and killed; silly twit got out of his Devilfish! MORAAAAAALE CHEEEEEEEEECK!!! WAAAAAAAAH!"

Ahem. *controls sudden outburst of panic*

Tau 9th

That's out of 9. AKA last place.

Pretty hollow "victory" in my opinion.

We suck.

I contributed nothing, as I was(/am) so pissed about the *BAD WORD DELETED!* FAQs they are trying to ruin the game with.

Back to fantasy with me.

Correction: we got in 6th place. Not bad since the whole thing was rigged anyways (seriously, SM lose? Ha!). Still, the Tau probably would have been better off not bothering with the Warp.
It's been way too long.
