How did you get into wargaming? Friend got me into Fantasy in 6th ed.

Hey James, welcome to ATT. I definitely agree with the "play your army to learn how they work" statement. All the tactics and stats are great, but I've found nothing helps me remember how my little guys work like actually using them regularly.

Also as a classical studies scholar, I have great respect for anyone who can actually learn a dead language :P

I have found that using them helps build "muscle " memory when dealing with the things we can face at the tables.
I also appreciate classical studies majors. I have a number of dead languages under my belt. Currently, I have been teaching myself middle Egyptian. Eventually, I would like to learn Sumerian or one of the other cuneiform languages.
